No major kits to speak of, but I have purchased some accessories.
- German tanker figure for a 1/18 tiger I have been reworking.- 75mm SPARTANS to go with my earlier figure builds, this will be fun (all resin).- These are the 120mm figures I am modifying for a 1:18 SAS jeep conversion I've just started. One of the two sets of heads I will use with the figures above.I still have brass, metal, and resin accessories in the mail for the SAS Jeep too. I haven't spoofed a 1:18 diecast toy to a model for a long time, this will be fun.Ben

Happy Birthday Stik!
Oh wow, I also bought that kit when it was new! I bought mine from Pete's Modelcraft in Kahala Mall. I chickened out on the chicken pox camo and went for Euro-I.
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
Happy birthday Stick!
I built it's younger brother in 89. I don't remember the build so much as the way I had it displayed, flying in a steep turn.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Oh cool guys!
RCGuy: Nice Panzer IV and that Fokker E.V is going to be tiny in 1/72nd scale!!!
SP: Very cool! Happy Birthday sir!!!!! Always fun to pick up something you built in your youth and apply your improved skills!

Nice Stik - worth it for the weapons set alone. Looking forward to seeing that camo.
Thanks,
John
Well the postman brought this today! I saw it on eBay weeks ago and had been watching it. Around the time of my birthday the seller sent me one of those discounted offers with free shipping, so I took the deal. Happy Birthday to me! Lol!
I built this kit when it was a new release, so I’ll have another go at it now, and theoretically do a better job now that I have a lot more skills, experience, and tools. I love this old experimental camo, and besides, this kit really has one of the best load outs of any 1/48 A-10 kits, Rockeyes & Mavericks.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

This one is tiny but these Arma kits have a suprising amount of fine detail considering the size plus some photoetch.
nice pick up's guy's. I just got this in. I haven't built a car in two years maybe a break from military stuff.
Nick.
keavdog I have just finished a NuNu BMW M3, really good kit, I particularly like the black window trim decals!
It's the bright yellow one in Auto's a couple of pages back.
Remember , common sense is not common.
Cool Pat. Never built a nunu-beemax. You'll have to let us know how looks and goes together.
I've just bagged this from ebay UK, should be here on Monday 5th July..
I saw lots of these in the day at Silverstone where I marshalled most weekends!
Another kit I didn't need LOL.
Tamiya new tool Panzer.
Phantoms and Phortresses!!!
Um I mean Fortresses..
Still awesome whatever you call them!
falconmodGonna look for after market decals as I don't want to do Memphis Bell
Waaa Nobody ever made a Belle before Actally I found plenty marking for other F's.
I'll probably do Thunderbird, but it's a G from the 303 Bomb Group, which was stationed here in Boise before heading to England.
just picked this up at HL. had extra $ in my pocket and boxed kits were 40% off total impulse buy!
Gonna look for after market decals as I don't want to do Memphis Bell
On the Bench: 1/72 Ki-67, 1/48 T-38
1/144 AC-130, 1/72 AV-8A Harrier
This just showed up on my front porch:
I've noticed that since I went back to work in April, my buying has picked up a bit, with this gorgeous Phantom, a Lancaster, a Tempest, a Fokker Dr.I, and a couple of old Monogram Snoopy classics suddenly showing up on my porch.
Straycat: Nice selection!
Hutch: Cool! I recently used AV Vallejo paint on a Spitfire and was very pleased with the results. Good luck with the missing seal ring.
Real G: Thanks a lot!!! I thought I'd bought all the military kits I need for the rest of my life and then the car guys in our club got me into a auto model buying kick. Just what I need is to start buying mechs now!!!
Nice bag, Straycat, I've never built an A6, but always liked it, and that Revell box art is very smart.
Got some supplies in this week -
A couple of Vallejo paint sets from e-bay, a set of (very cheap!) flat brushes from an art/craft chain store called The Works, and some picture wire (1/35 tow cables), polishing compound, and beeswax from yesterday's trip to Durham market. I'm going to try using the beeswax to replace a missing sealing ring on an airbrush nozzle.
Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

Went to Deans yesterday and came home with these.
Gamera,
Yes, Gunpla Porn...
I guess the faction that approprated the Gundam Mk-V decided to spell "decide" a different way for their brand "The New Desides". When I read "New Desides", I keep on thinking about a song by Peter Frampton.
I saw "A Bridge Too Far" back in the day with my dad. As a little kid, I did not know of the battle for Arnhem, so was surprised when the "good guys" didn't win! Nevertheless, it was a great movie, and I own the DVD.
Oh wow, cool stuff guys!
Love the Cougar John, dang I need one to complete my set of Grumman cats...
And that Gunpla porn Real G, wow!
Not a model but I've been looking on and off for this for sometime and finally found a copy in perfect condition at secondhand shop (flea market here in the US) for three bucks!!!
I almost want to ask Pawel about how good Gene Hackman's Polish accent is but I'm not sure I want to know. And poor John Ratzenberger- he must have been so tramatized that he spent years afterward hanging out in a bar...
armornut I will believe it when ya don't post it Keavdog LOL... any idea how many times I said thatLOL.
Yep, me too - I decided that, instead of deciding I want a kit & then buying it straight away, I'd make a list of kits I wanted but not buy them until next year. Then I see one of them at a really good price & buy it anyway...
I will believe it when ya don't post it Keavdog LOL... any idea how many times I said thatLOL.
we're modelers it's what we do
A microwave-oven sized box dropped this morning:
The big duplicate kit and the smaller one are for a friend. Honest.
These kits came from Bandai USA, part of their "Premium Bandai" on-line exclusive marketing strategy. The original stated concept was to issue versions of kits with niche enthusiasts in mind, of subjects that might not have mass market appeal. I think Bandai has gone off the rails on this thinking though, as the big kit (Gundam Mk-V), while very niche, has no mass market base kit from which to derive. Instead, they have announced a "standard" kit of the Silver Bullet, which to me is an even more niche variant. I don't know, maybe the Silver Bullet will feature in the upcoming Gundam movie "Hathaway's Flash". Go figure.
Enough Gunadam mumbo-jumbo. We now return you to the regularly scheduled program of normal kits.
keavdog I swear, my last kit purchase for 2021
I swear, my last kit purchase for 2021
Nice
Nice Stick. Personally I don't care for Mr Color but would like to at least try Mr Paint and AK.
Made a run down to Andy’s Hobby HQ today and found this kit for a good price, so I could not say no…
then I got these supplies…and for anyone in the area, Andy’s is now carrying Gunze’s Mr Color and Mr Hobby paint lines…. Between those and AK Real Color like I have here, my acrylic needs are now covered! And a nice restock on Value Gear too!
Hey John - Hurt Locker vingette in the future?
