Scored this on Evilbay the other day. No other bidders, just me. A 1/48 B-29 in a sealed box for 75 bones, cheap for sure. I'm totaly stoked to finally add this to the stash.

Hot red Porsche!!!

Geez, that arrived quickly. Didn't you order it just days ago?

Where'd it come from, John?

Hot red Porsche!!!

Very nice I didn't see one of those when I was searching for a Ferguson TE-20. Got mine from Heller, my uncle finished restoring a 1:1 and was able to take part in the local tractor run. Thought one of those would look good on the shelf.

Received these items last week for a work in progress.

Thanks Joe. I really wanted the Orange Solo F-16 colors. They have a metallic sheen. Didn't want to pay postage for just 2 bottles, so the Russians came along for the ride

John: Oh, you'll be putting the fear in your competitors when you hit the track with that. Beauty!

Tempest: I've acquired my share of MRP paints but, have only done some testing with them thus far. I'm really impressed with what I've done so far. Spray beautifully and create a very nice finish. Good score on your part.

So much neat stuff coming in so fast it's hard to keep up!. Good stuff!

I don't remember the Scirroco, Joe. That was my ex-wife's Mom's maiden name.

That trailer is pretty slick, John.

I'd like to hear how those MRP paints work out, Johnny.

Great mail day today!

Some stuff from SprueBrothers and eBay.

Picked up some aftermarket parts for my Tamiya T-55 I’m about to start on. Got a aluminum barrel, photo etch grills and some better tow cables.  Added more figures to my ever growing Red Army think I have enough figures for every Cold War era tank in the stash now.

Nice find Joe! I agree about the Scirocco, those are very sharp looking cars. They handle pretty nice too. I got to drive one a bit, once upon a time.

Cool tortoise too!

Nice set of decals Stik

This also just arrived in the mail today. I always loved this car when I was young and dreamed of owning one.. My sisiter-in-law owned one and I just loved it.

Now, we do own a "Scirocco" of sorts. That's the name of our tortoise. Being as she is an African Socata Tortoise native to the fringes of the Sahara it seemed only appropriate that we name her after the winds that blow from the Meditteranian across the Sahara. And yes, she does move faster than you think. You don't take your eyes off of her when she's outside for a walk.

The postman brought these yesterday. And they are sized for my Monogram kit.

The blue on the markings is the lighter shade worn during Vietnam by VA-93 and not the darker blue like on the Eagle Strike sheet for the A-7E.

Greg
Joe, I didn't know you were a big Corsair fan. I like them too.

Yeah, the Corsair and the PBY Catalina are my favorites. I currently have 15 different Corsair kits. And to think, I still have yet to get either of the beautiful 1/32 Tamiya Corsairs. Yet.Big Smile

Joe, I didn't know you were a big Corsair fan. I like them too.

I often get on nostalgia kicks for kits and companies no longer available. It's neat that AMT are still pretty much readily available.

John, great choice on the compressor, I think you are going to love it. I have pretty much the same compressor, but without the tank. I have tank envy. I want one and I think you paid less for your whole setup than I did my tankless compressor.

If it is the same as mine, it is whisper quiet. Have you fired it up yet?

BTW, do you have a model or link for that compressor? You have my gears grinding......

Keavdog, Bummer you had no access to CO2 but, nice score to keep you in business. Not being able to airbrush during lockdown would certainly be catastrophic.

I've been wanting this particular Fairlane kit myself for some time. Got it on ebay for $20.00 on a "make an offer" shot

That Fairlane is on my wish list!

Ran out of CO2 and my local gas shop is closed due to COVID-19.  So.....

Back in business.  $96 shipped with an airbrush (which will go to my wife).  We'll see how this compares to CO2 (which I WILL go back to)... just can't imagine going 45 days without airbrushing anything

Thanks,

John

These choice items arrived today. The "Fleet Arm" Corsair is very welcome addition to my substantial Corsair stash.

Joe, Cliff, John....

Nice of you to take the time to comment on my splurge, thanks!

Joe, 'vast skills', I think you may have me confused with somebody who has a clue what they are doing, but I sure do appreciate your encouragment.
