I forgot to add this the other day. I had bought this old 1/48  Teknics Ordnance  set off EBay last month. It comes with six Rockeye CBUs, two Fuel Air Explosive bombs, two Napalm cans, and two Zuni pods. The seller also added a pair of AS.34 Kormoran Anti Ship Missiles. Well, it finally arrived in the mail at the beginning of this week... woohoo!

Placed a small order from SprueBrothers Sunday and got it today. I’ve been waiting for this version of the T-55 to come out from Miniart. Been wanting to do a T-55 as used by the Rhodesian military and this one is perfect. Picked up the tank crew to operate the Red Army equipment I seem to be building up.

Wasn’t planning to but made a trip near the nearest hobby shop yesterday and ended up picking up a couple things. Figured they could use the help right now since they aren’t sure if they’ll be ordered to close.

Almost forgot picked up this Gundam kit for my spouse at the hobby shop was well. She’s a big fan of Gundam and likes to build a kit every so often. Since we are more or less stuck now is a good time for building.

Better hurry kids.  Now the retail stores are closing.  I wonder if I can get to my LHS this weekend for some paint?

To support the local HS to help through the hard times, I felt it was my duty to transform another kit from my wishlist and make it materialize in the stash.

Just doing my patriotic duty.

Well, in order to follow the directives of the powers that be, I had to go on a supply run. My glues were getting low, and a few other items like putty might be needed as well during these strange days... I ended up at my “new” local hobby shop, 25 or so miles away, Andy’s Hobby Headquarters. I did pick up some Squadron Weld there, but then I found this little beauty for a good price...

That should help with both the local economy and social distancing... I’m being a responsible citizen.

Found these Meng WWI Germans last week at my hobby shop. Unfortunately my trips over to there are going to few and far between. Was going to get the Tamiya 1/35 AMX and found out the store had upped the prices on almost everything by ten to twenty dollars! Before they were more or less priced the same as SprueBrothers so if I had business to do near them I’d stop by and save on shipping. They hadn’t marked up the figures  yet so at least I got one thing.

Some seriously wonderful items being added folks. Always cool to see the mixed bag of interests and what is available out there to fill each niche.

Keavdog: Sorry to be late getting back to you on th Supermodel kits. They are an older manufacturer that's been gone for a while now. They're not the most well molded and detailed kits but, they are not horrible at all and build into nice kits with some good old modeling skills. They did however mold some great subjects that, to the best of my knowledge, only they molded. The Italian tri-motor bomber CantZ 1007bis is a good example. Also, great scores on the Avenger and Corsair II.

Real G: I love the crawfish kit. Now, that is really different.

Gamera: Excellent trifecta on the Zeros. That is indeed an enviable haul.

sickdude: Appears that you been havin' a good time. Really nice haul on the Dingo and accessories.

Well done everyone!

Slow last 2 days of bench time (getting ready for spring is sure a time hog)… At least some more cool accessories came in the mail, all for my vampire project down the road, and probably a mosquito build...

The rockets are Eduards new tool, absolutely amazing detail/quality, and excellent price to boot. They turned out a real winner here, kudos to them (and the packaging is extremely good).

The decals, by Extradecal, are very nice, in register, and the price works out very reasonable per decal, another winner.

The white metal landing gear by SAC are very nice, vast improvement over kits parts.

Same story with the tailwheel, and strut from CMK. I'm probably going to save this for a mosquito, i'll pick up a whole wheel set for the vampire.

The seats from Pavla are quite nice, not perfect mind ya, but quite nice. Detail is quite nice, a little short shot in places, but big improvement over the kit seats. Looking them over, it seems they're is using too brittle a mix, or it dries too fast in the molds. Hopefully they can get the problem sorted out.

And finally the wheel well detail set for the vamp, again from Pavla. Turns out to be a bust... Not that the parts that came are too bad... Just where are the wheel well inserts?!!... Big disappointment on they're part. And not to mention there packaging is a disappointment as well, just a plastic bag stapled to a cardboard flap, parts can/will get broken easily. Like what happened to me, one of the landing gear covers snapped in 2, right where the leg and wheel cover meet. And one of the tiny brace peg snapped off also. But that's not the issue, the real problem is that i'm missing very important pieces. Well, i'm contacting the seller to request a replacement or refund. Oh well, you win some, and you loose some.

The 6 color SEA set and 4 RAL colors.  Actually got another 4 color set but had them draw another ticket so someone else could take some home.
