I've been wanting to try a Zukei Mura kit, and good 'ol Toshi whetted my appetite even more a few years ago when Mrs Toshi got one for him and he did a WIP so we could watch.

I finally used the current situation as my rationalization to splurge. I added a metal strut and color cockpit PE set.

PS, it's been a few decades since I attempted a 'modern' fighter, so I'll probably need some help from y'all.

Joe: Love the Tone and the Gripen too! Although I will admit to not having good luck with Kopro kits in the past...

That is interesting to know about the Kopro kits Gam. I'd never heard of them but, since it was an interesting subject w/ the splinter pattern I bought it on a whim. I'd read somewhere that it was possibly a rebox of the Italeri mold but. I'm not sure about that. Out of the box it appears to have some nice detail and fine panel lines.

I hope she goes together for you without any issues. Being Italeri is a good sign. I fought with a couple kits from the Warsaw Pact back in the '80s and '90s and am not eager to repeat the experience. Guess I've devolved from a modeler down to an assembler- I just don't have the patience I used to have.

Yet another deal from ebay UK..................

Yeah, that's cool! I don't think I've even heard of that brand. The Re-2000 was a very nice looking fighter though!

As usual, some mighty nice being added on here.

Gamera, That is real nice selection of tanks you acquired.

I've added a few recently.

I just finished a build so it was time to order paint for the next.  A zombie hunter jumped in the shopping cart too. I'm excited to try out a resin figure. I'm extremely thankful for my paycheck. Also thankful to be able get my hands on model paint during this insanity.

Well yesterday was an interesting experience for purchasing. I had to go back to CA to take care of some final business for work. Last week had received an email from one of my favorite shops that they were doing back door pick ups like restaurants are doing currently. Phone in your order and if they have it in stock, they will bag it up and have it waiting at the back door. Pay by card when the order is placed. I placed my order as I entered the state, and although they did not have all that I wanted, it was mostly on hand,  and a couple hours later I was at their back door. They asked my name, then handed me my bagged order then the security gate after saying my name. It felt like some illicit transaction in a humorous way...

And I will say, for a place that is on “shelter at home” orders except for essential workers and businesses, yes the freeway traffic was markedly lower than usual, there are way more people out there who are obviously disregarding the directives. All sorts of play stuff: campers, bikes, off road stuff, boats, is being hauled here, there, and everywhere during my 18 hours or so in the area.

Gamera>  Thanks! I had one of these 50 years ago (I still have some parts), but I never thought I would find one at such a great price!  It was $23.09 actually (I checked the ticket).

I was at Hobby Lobby to return an item yesterday (taking my life in my hands).  Except for the employees cleaning furiously, it was nearly deserted.  I was looking for an airbrush, but everything they had was way too expensive, so I settled on this.

It was $34.99, but I had a 40% off coupon so it was roughly $24 bucks.  Not bad.  I'll add it to the stash for a future build.  Big Smile

I've been on a bit of a buying binge... adding to my trainer collection.  Man the wolfpack kit looks fantastic.  Comes with resin wheels, canopy masks, PE seatbelts, color glossy instruction booklet with pictures and a great looking decal sheet by cartograf.

And this guy just showed up :)

Pardon the delay, but where in the world did you find that Accurate Miniatures Avenger, John?

PS, I wish I'd stop forgetting about this thread. Great fun watching what everyone is buying.
