Recently picked these up. The Charger kit will be the one I'll be emphasizing in this post however. I just got done with a General Lee....ish build where I made a General Lee as it would be if I owned it. Stuff like dropped down a little lower, without the front bumper guard and in R/T trim.

My intention is to build a Bullitt II Charger out of it. I was given the idea after someone on another forum saw my General Lee. Visions of dropping it a couple of inches with some street big and little BF Goodrich tires with Magnum 500's outta do the trick.

Those are sweet Joe. I really like the Dart Hemi. Seems that would be an epic looking build in your hands.

Nice Mustang, I'm kinda feeling like building a car again.

Procrastinating again should be concentrating on the scammell, took time to arrange these goodies. Bought the Lancaster with Christmas money myself, the rest were from the family pretty chuffed I was.

Here's my latest from the last couple of years

Porsche and Forrest Sherman are ebay steals and kits I built back in the 70's. Went hog wild on Dreadnought with decks, barrels PE etc.  The M4 Sherman was ordered by my daughter for my birthday; it shipped just like you see it from Poland to Nebraska. Box wasn't even taped shut!  Nothing missing that I can tell.

[quote user="Bish"]

So after getting those 2 yesterday i had another turn up tody that i was not expecting for a few weeks. I have had Trumpeters 350 Graf Spe on the wish list for a while. As i got some cash for Xmas and i knew i would be bilding Revell's S-Boat early in the year, i figured i should top up the ship stash. When i opened the door to the postman, i knew what it was in his hands but was surprised at how small the box was. But then i am compareing that to the Revell Bismarck.

I've always been attracted to the battle ships of old bristling with weapons on the high seas. I built the Bismarck back in the seventies lovingly painted I was delighted with it. Got one again recently to relive those times, look forward to watching your build of the Graf Spee. I also have for years a model of the HMS Ark Royal in the stash I ought to build some day.

Chocolate and orange goes together in Ireland as a great combination.

  " alt="" />

Well I did a little research and you can get the orange Kit-Kats in Canada too.

Even though Nestle products are sold in the US Kit-Kats are made under license here by Hersey. Oh well...

Cool stuff there Bish, love the Vanguard and the 'Spee!

Hersey got the rights to make Kit Kat before Rowntree's was bought out by Nestle. The flavoured versions only came out after the take over, so i guess thats why Hersey can't make the orange ones.

Oh gee, well I learned something new today!

Well thats a good seal of approval. Your not wrong about that, the box is only alittle bigger than the one for the vanguard.

It comes with some PE rails and i am planning on getting the Eduard set and some barrels.

I have never done an Academy ship, most of mine are Revell.

Bish, nice! As you noticed the Spee is not that large of a ship, about the same size as late US heavys.

Trumpy kits are very nice, about on par with Academy. A little PE goes a long way with any ship.

Popped into the LHS today to pick up my 3rd Airfix Phantom, this time the re-box of the FG.1 but with RAF markings.

And while i was there, i spotted a kit they don't normaly have. Bronco's 1/350 HMS Vanguard. Our LHS is only small so the space for kits is limited and of course they mostly stock the more popular kits. But often they will get one or two of a kit in, especially if its been asked for and they will ordr them in from Hannants. And if your lucky you can pick up somthing different. This was aksed for by a guy who used to serve on the boat. I had planned on picking it up from hannants later in the year, but figured what the hell, while its here i might as well grab it.

This will go nicely next to the Airfix Trafalgar.

Gamera, that tank does look an odd one, look forward to seeing you build it.

And orange flavoured Kit-Kat. Not sure why they don't sell these outside Japan, I'd think they'd sell anywhere.

Who says they don't have it outside japan.

Orange was the first flavour variant of the Kit Kat introduced in the UK in 96.

John: It's from a company called HMA. Which I've never even heard of.

It's kinda on the small side, the Firefox was a big friggin' plane but in 1/144 she's still kinda on the small side. Then again I'm used to 1/48th scale.  The detail looks really good though.

https://www.hlj.com/1-144-scale-mig-31-firefox-plastic-kit-hma75586

There used to be a couple 1/72nd and 1/48th kits garage kits about if you want to plop down over a hundred on a kit of dubious quality.

Ohhhh, all that styrene goodness!

Joe: Great deal there on the F-14, congrads! And I love that racing Corsair!

Most of my Christmas stuff came in from HobbyLink Japan, a few more things still out of stock:

Love that ARL-44, such a cool tank and I love odd stuff. I dumped World of Tanks years ago but so happy that it helped get stuff like this molded:

Weirdness!!!

Too many tiny wheels!!! But at least the tracks are already cut off the sprue.

I don't have any Taiwanese tanks but the crew was on sale so I picked it up!

MiG-31 from the vintage movie 'Firefox'. I loved this movie as a kid- such a cool looking jet. Now I need a 1/144th Clint Eastwood...

Another cutsey Gundam kit. I bought one last year but still haven't built it. This year I swear I'll get one done (fingers crossed).

And orange flavoured Kit-Kat. Not sure why they don't sell these outside Japan, I'd think they'd sell anywhere.

Where did you get thw firefox from?    and who makes it?

More cool kits being accumulated. I like it.

Pat: The rally car is sweet. I love those also and may have to consider one in the future.

John: Well done on scoring the big rail

Bish: Glad to see you score a kit that meets your requirements. Not always an easy task without having to supplement with AM parts.

Managed to add some nice trinkets lately.

This has been a wishlist addition for my Corsair collection for quite some time. Got it at really decent price on auction.

Got this off ebay. My brother owned a Cougar when he was younger and we used to drag main in it. I've been a Cougar lover ever since. The Eliminator is not the exact same car but, it will more than suffice. I would love to get the rare AMT '68 Cougar but, that currently fetches some major $$ to get a hold of.

And then there is this major score. I won this 1/72 2 kit boxing for $32.00 on a FB auction. This kit tends to go for $140.00 + on ebay. It was a brand new kit still in the shrink wrap. This simply made my day.

Seeing that Cougar brings back a memory.  Driving to work one morning I was following a car...had WA plates, "SPTNKTN"  Was so focused on trying to figure out what they meant, didn't place the car till he hit the left turn signal.  When it started the sequential blinking it hit what the car was.  Darn near wound up in the ditch, laughing so hard.  "Spittin' Kitten"

Steve: The ARL-44 is a strange tank in any case. The French designed it in secret while still occupied by the Germans and then started production as soon as they were liberated.

I love that "Cat"

Gam, strange looking tank. Kinda a mix of a Char Bis or Churchill and some Japanese paper tiger. I'll take the candy off you hands if you don't want it.
