More cool kits being accumulated. I like it.

Pat: The rally car is sweet. I love those also and may have to consider one in the future.

John: Well done on scoring the big rail

Bish: Glad to see you score a kit that meets your requirements. Not always an easy task without having to supplement with AM parts.

Managed to add some nice trinkets lately.

This has been a wishlist addition for my Corsair collection for quite some time. Got it at really decent price on auction.

Got this off ebay. My brother owned a Cougar when he was younger and we used to drag main in it. I've been a Cougar lover ever since. The Eliminator is not the exact same car but, it will more than suffice. I would love to get the rare AMT '68 Cougar but, that currently fetches some major $$ to get a hold of.

And then there is this major score. I won this 1/72 2 kit boxing for $32.00 on a FB auction. This kit tends to go for $140.00 + on ebay. It was a brand new kit still in the shrink wrap. This simply made my day.

Yet another one of these at less than 1/2 price as an 'already started'. I just love those big auxiliary front lamps for night stages!

Wow lots of good stuff here!

Another Hellcat, an opal, a skymaster!?

Gam I hope you share photos of those tank crews when the time comes to build them.

I went to hobby lobby for only a tube of oil paint..

...and bought this:

Those are cool guys!

Love that IJN Mikuma Joe!

I picked up a few things to use with stuff I already have. Nothing too exciting but I'll post them. Shipment from Sprue Brothers- ordered it Sat and it was in my hands Wed. I swear they're competing with Amazon for speed of shipping.

Set of 1/350th armour and softskins to use with my LCT in ModelCrazy's US Ships GB:

Tank crew for Bish's British armour GB:

Tank crew for a Vietnam era M48 I'm building. First time I've used these figures and I'm really impressed by how they look in the box:

Nice score Joe...Pssst, I'm starting a Japanese ship GB next year...pass it on. Wink

John, I bought that kit a HL for $12.50 on sale..... little yellow price tag. I knew it had to be a mistake so I snatched it up and ran to the regester before someone changed their mind Big Smile. It looks like a awsome kit!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Aww, the glory of receiving $$$ for Christmas. The splurging has rolled into my stash in the form of some splendid gems.

Just outright went and bought this one. This is an eye popping splendor when you open the rather large box. Looks to be an amazing kit.

I scored this 1/350 beast from an ebay seller who already had it for a decent price but, then offered a 15% discount for the New Year. As such, I jumped on it.

This kit was a particularly exciting score for me. I drove one of these when I was in HS and into college. Unfortunately, It got wrecked when someone made a turn in to my lane. I was devastated as I loved that car. I was thrilled to win this kit at auction. I plan to build it as the stock version like the one I drove.

Then there are these I picked up cheap at auction. The Neptune came without decals but, that is easily remedied.

Saw a couple of these built up and really wanted to do one.  Got this one partially started on ebay for a good price.  Didn't realize how HUGE this kit is!

Thanks,

John

Dragonusa has a great sale ($6 for the Hellcat kit!!!) going on right now, and I couldn't resist a Sherman and Hellcat. My stash didn't need another kit. But I did!

This is it. ;

First acquisition of 2020. No Pic, so sorry. It's the 1/144 model of Amodel's C123-E and B. Well, here's a thought . First, I never heard of them before. Second, I was surprised at the lack of flash.

The Canopy area is one largish clear piece. All the little windows are very well deliniated and framed out. This little jewel even has an interior!. In this scale? I guess I could use .010strips inside for the frames?

      Full Cockpit as well! Hmmm.

You'll like the Tamiya thin glue I think.

Someone else got that Hellcat as well.

I found the Airfix 1/24 version this past summer and picked it up.

Bish: That Huey is sweet. Sounds like you have a very interesting plan for it.

Ted: That is one bountiful haul you got for Christmas. Especially in the Star Wars department. I especially like the big Hellcat. Nice.

Kits I received this year for Christmas:

I also recieved some giftcards to the HL and the local internet giant retailer.  The bag of 200 eye droppers was only 8 bucks.  I haven't used extra thin glue before but the internet says it's good so I'm trying it out. Not pictured is a bottle of brown panel line accent- delivery in a few days.

The kit just provides the grey/green scheme. But i have seen some recent photo's on the 7 flight FB page which shows the same aircraft still in service with orange engines. So i am going to go with that.

My first new addition of the year. I want to build a helicopter for the British army GB. I came across this one on e-bay a couple of weeks ago, it includes the option for a Bell 212 that are used in Brunei for Jungle Warfare traning.

CN: I love that artillery tractor, you can go nuts weathering and dirtying her up!

John: Not a big fan of the new Trek but still cool. Love that Hawk, haven't seen much of 1999 but it and the Eagle are great looking ships.

Not a fan of the new trek either,  only because they put it on a pay-per view channel and that kinda pissed me off.  I'm really more of a trek guy than star wars.  I still have a eagle from when they were originally released,  late 70's early 80's,  it sits watch over my work bench until I get the nerve to recondition it.

LOL, that was the idea. Some kits just need to be weathered, rusted, dirtied up Smile
