Aircraft enthusiasts,

Do you use your decals for detailing the control panels sa cockpit? Or paint/wash it? What colors do you use? or..gasp...paint each and every dot with a fine point paint brush?

Hi Reggie,

You can also visit this site http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com.... Tool-n-tips... Cockpit Detailing... Drybrushing... hope this will help... God bless you.

Hi guys. I have a question ( you may consider it a stupid one, too. LOL).

If I decide to submit an entry for the diorama category, is it required for a tank or armored vehicle to be glued or fixed to the diorama base? Will it be disqualified if the tank is just simply sitting on and not fixed to the base?

most people really think models are toys... Sad [:(] kids, specially... imagine your plane flying on its own and end up as casualty of war whenever they surround you! talk about ruining a work of art!

i got me a sabre lion on top of my workstation here at the office... well, i must admit zoids are really very toyish, add to the fact that i just snapped the pieces together and leave it at that... hehehe.

one of these days i'm gonna bring it home and paint it already. hehehehe.

Oh, and I was contemplating on buying that same kit, but then i realized that my finances are stretched rather thin as they are! Soon, I'll have a model of all B-17s, hopefully including the YB-17, the YB-40 and a B-17 Firebomber! (insert maniacle laughter here). Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I was actually hunting for a german bomber (there goes my secret) for December but I didn't find any except for a 1/72 Dragon that has a "Julia" on its name. The kit was nice, even had a few PE parts but I wasn't really that impressed. So I decided to just get the B-17B instead. There's another one in the shop.... a B-17C/D.... maybe I'll get that next year. And there also was an "Enola Gay".... looks good priced twice as the B-17 though.... ehehehe.... out of budget as for now.

Shonen: PMC BDA pattern; but my old one, not the new one; i still use the new one every now and then as necessary;
Reggie: so far, the only stuff ive made that have seen print over the web were my modified KIFV into an AIFV ( built in 1996) to PSG pattern and an FV101 also with PSG pattern; you can see it in this link:http://www.geocities.com/afponlinemuseum/Armor.html
this is a website of my best friend who is absolutely nuts about AFP topics; at the same website, you can also see models of the late Bert Anido.

why is it that being a newbie or not is based on his/number of posts? I meant newbie kasi di kita kilala. don't be fooled by the number of posts that i have. mostly sa painting and airbrushing yan.

Well Reggie, if you are new here ( but the number of posts you have made and your affinity to IPMS-Manila kinda negates a newbie tag for you, I believe), take it from the words itself- HONEST to knowing what is best for all modellers like you, me and the rest, which not only improves ones knowledge, skill, affinity, and personality. I need not overemphasize nor expound further, lest i be accused of flaming; Wink [;)]
Noel, yes you may not personally know me, but we had traded a lot of emails offcially and unoffcially; as a matter of fact i was one of the first to remind you not to downplay Berts death, remember? Oh well, just reminding, you im back; hope you wouldnt mind a fellow Filipino modeller joining your chat again eh pal?Big Smile [:D]
Whistling [:-^]Its better to see more topics now that can help a lot more interested Filipino ( and other) scale modellers like tips, simple advice, reviews, etc., this is a breather compared to earlier threads that were so focused on extolling the virtues ( or whatever) of a particular group of stores and its owner, or using this fora as a recruiting tool; sharing ones knowledge online, for all to see and share in is one of the best ways we can do to help each other grow in the hobby, i believe....My 2 cents [2c]

Hey man... cool lang... Tongue [:P]

The kid was just saying he's new in the hobby.

Lighten up, man...

We're all in this hobby because it's fun. Nothing more (at least I hope all seeing this have the same agenda). Speaking for myself, I'm enjoying my hobby and the company at this forum. They seem like very nice people... that's why I frequent this forum and in particular this thread.

Jun

Oh yes Jun, thats why i said I see2x; i needed clarification on what does Im new here mean; anyway, AFAIK, nuff said for my part, lest the issue turns awry again; reading the more important parts of my messages or posts would reveal to you that the essence of the hobby for modellers is the important thing hereApprove [^]
