Why does no one ever referr to the A-6E Intruder as Sexiest Plane Ever? I think it is! It's got curves in all the right places!

I would have to say the sexiest plane ever, hands down, is the Gulfstream G-IV or G-V.

Looking at what others have listed shook loose a few cobwebs, so here are some more from me, according to category:

WWI : Fokker DVIII
Between wars : P-6E Hawk
WW2 : Spitfire Mk I ( no bulges or gun barrels to disrupt that shape )
Korea : Hawker Sea Fury
50's/60's : B-58 Hustler
Viet Nam : F-5A Tiger
X-Planes : X-3 Stiletto
Modern : B-1
Commercial : Lockheed Electra ( not close to the Connie though )
LIght Planes : Tie between Falco and Midget Mustang ( homebuilts )

But the B-26 Martin Marauder runs a close second for me.

I will have to go with the P-51D. Not as slick as most figher jets, but there is still just something about well maintained, bare metal P-51 in flight.

To me...the sexiest plane ever...has to be the P-51 Mustang. It was a tough choice...real tough...F-14's are my biggest love...worked on them and lived with them for the better part of a 4 year enlistment, but the first time I ever saw a P-51 in motion...it was "Lust at First Site!"

Naturally I'm partial to the P51D(we had lots of them at Van Nuys and they flew all the time)but the Super Corsair with the 4360 Wasp Major comes in a close second.

SR-71 Blackbird, hands down.

(2nd choice: Hugh Hefner's "Big Bunny" (DC-9?) for obvious reasons.)

I'd like to vote as well. I've always thought the SR-71 was the winner in that. However, as of late, for some reason I've grown very attached to the Grumman Gulfstream I.

The F9F Panther is, hands down, my sexiest airplane ever. Has anyone seen 'The Bridges at Toko-Ri' or 'Men of the Fighting Lady'? Some very good footage of Grumman's jet-cat gracing the skies!

SR 71 is ahead of the pack!!! SLEEK, fast and ahead of its time during design, test and evaluations. Only aircraft where pilots are almost like astronauts!!! SKUNKWORKS rule!!

I've always loved the P-38 for it's uniqueness. It's always been my favorite. However, for sexy, the SR-71 stands alone. Not only it's beautiful lines, but it's future technology.

Sexiest plane ever? Sexiest refers to attraction and depends a lot on your taste in women. The aircraft you chose tells alot about what your fantasy woman is like. Is she a:

SR-71 Pamela Anderson in leather with whips and chains.

B-1 J.Lo. Looks great from the front or rear, and has an awesome rear end .

F-16 Salma Hayeck. Sassy, and looks good from any direction.

Spitfire Audrey Hepburn. Petite, pretty dancer

Constellation Sophia Loren. Simply luxurious. Has the curves and allure to leave you weak kneed. Ages well.

F-22 Raptor Miss Fitness America Wants You!!! Yeah, you. The guy over there imitating Jim Carrie as The Mask with your jaw on the floor and your tongue slobbering all over it..

I hope you enjoyed my attempt at humor. Oh! My type? I'm a Salma Hayeck fan! What's yours?
