Midnight,
Why yes I do have a few pics, about 45 pics aswell as the originals too. They range from vaiants to war time pics.
I also have a few Bell shoot s of the assembly line w/ the flag in the backround. The coolest one I have is of "Tex "Johnson and Wolliams next to their 39 racers. O and of course a few pics over the Falls w/ one shoot of the Airacobr's in Russian markings.
I may have a 39 kit or two LOL. Flaps up, Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

Nice to see an airliner voted in :-)

I'm casting my vote for the Concorde.

Any aircraft that can look that slick on the ground or in the air and still not be a military tool is about as sexy as sexy can get as far as things mechanical go.

The Lockheed L-1011 Tristar also rates high with me, too bad there weren't more of them built.

Super Connie/C-121. Aircraft looks like it is flying even setting on the ground. With very fluid lines and the tri tail is just beautiful looking. One of the last of the comercial prop jobs used by the airlines.

I always liked the lines of the F-22.

But. the F-35, although very similar looking, is somehow even nicer.Big Smile [:D]

B-1B without a doubt! Something that size with those lines...watchout!!! Have you seen how many aviation artists love using the Lancer as a subject?

The F-104:

Go and watch the end of The Right Stuff, if the sight of that shiny bird doesn't move you, check your pacemaker.

Any B-17G in natural metal has to be right there with it in terms of sexiness.

Yeah, as a kid, in my little home country, I dreamed about going to the USAF Museum in Ohio and see the beauty. My dream became a reality in '98.

When you say you saw and touched the XB-70 I assume you mean at the Air force Museum in Ohio. I agree it is a beautiful Aircraft. I can't wait for the museum to finish its expansion so I can revisit and spend a week there.

My vote for sexiest plane would be a 3-way tie. They're, the F-101 Voodoo ( the interceptor, NOT the recce ), the F-104 Starfighter, and last, but not least, the Navy's Vigilente of which I don't know the numerical designation. Butz probably knows.

I second that Midnight on the P-39. Since it was built here in my home town of Niagara Falls ok Wheatfield.!! It has a place in my heart since my grandfather was a line super w/ the 39's from 39-45.

Call me crazy, but I think it is the Bell P-39 Airacobra.

Sexiest plane ever..?
Posted by djmodels1999 on Thursday, February 27, 2003 1:51 AM
Ok, we've had favourite fighter, bomber,... and many more but what is, to your eyes, the sexiest aircraft ever built??? Please, don't tell me it's the P-47 Wink [;)]

To me, it's the XB-70 Valkyrie. She's simply the most beautiful thing that ever flew. And I was lucky enough to see and touch her...! Kisses [:X]

Following the first 100 (or so) votes, 7 aircraft are flying high above all the others... The Magnificient Seven can be found on page 6 of this thread. Which one will be Top of the Tops??? Tongue [:P]
