Gregg, because you included the Valkyrie, I'll let you vote for 10, no 11 aircraft...! Still, your top 11 included 5 of the Magnificient Seven. Quite impressive!

Looks like the B-58 could have made it into the 'Magnificient Seven' (see page 6)... But more importantly, the realy most beautiful aircraft ever built, the Valkyrie, is also making progress... This is getting good.

Bell X-2 gets my vote. Loved it since I was a kid.
Hey, does anyone know if there is a plastic kit for this beauty?

I also think the Orbit Jet, from the 50's SciFi TV show Rocky Jones, Space Ranger is a real sexy plane, albeit a fantasy.

By coinkidink I was watching some vintage 70s video today which featured a story about the possibility of an Australian airline operating the Concorde - it never happened for a range of reasons but just the footage of the big bird taking off was enough to stir the blood. It definitely gets a vote.

As for Props, what about the Hawker Sea Fury ? Especially when it's in the Miss Merced flame job Put it into Google, you'll see what I mean)- I've been painting it up on the Hobbycraft kit for months now but I still lovelooking at the pics. And then there's those post war Spits in their natural metal - yeah baby!!!

As for jets, yes the Hustler can go a yard or two in the sexy stakes (So can the Dart, Convair knew what they were doing) but surely there's nothing can beat the Falcon - there is not a wrong line anywhere on it, it is THE jet, it is jetness made real

Ok guys - time to throw in something a lot differant from what I have see so far. Howard Hughes H-1 racer. I was remined of this aircraft by it's cover shot in Air & Space this month. I had see the bird at the Smithsonian saveral times, but the replica on the cover reinforced the extreamly sexy sleek lines of the period. this bird has all the proportions right. Don't believe me, check it out. Pete J.

The P-38 Lightning gets my vote. I wish I was born 25 years earlier so I could have flown one operationally. My favorite picture of them is several P-38s flying in line astern formation, seen centered through the tailbooms of the lead aircraft. Adios, Larry

Supermarine Spitfire, all models. For the beauty of the shape and what it inspired to the people of Britain during wwII when they saw a squadron fly over on it's way to down bomber or defend the coast from fighters. A beautiful plane to look at and imagine in action during it's prime.

I believe all of you have many different ideas based on what you can see. Sexiness is all in the "MIND" - so, the Aurora would have to be it for me.

Wow! Twenty-one people so far have posted their very first message to this topic--I'll be number 22. Prop: Love the WW2 fighters, including the P-51. Jet: The F-104 looks awesome even on the ground, with a cat-like stance, ready to pounce--like the landing gear can hardly contain its forward motion!
