Pre-shading done in Burnt Umber/Flat Black mix , then in Flat Black , then panels to be NMFin Flat Black . I'll put some silver on in aboot an hour.

Ditto

Looking good. Did you shade most of the bottom to work as an undershadow?

Hmech , jmod , bysa , Thanks and stay tuned as I go through the paint work, its very involved.

Here is one of the color profiles I will use :

The bottom is now a nmf panel and I 'spotted' silver all over where there is chipping and paint loss.

You will see an interesting effect here as I sprayed the Alclad onto the flat black it was a dry spray, this I scrubbed lightly with a scotch pad to create a pattern of lines from front to back.

jm , wiz , Thanks , Ongoing with the paint work,I randomly applied EZ Mask with a small brush on t othe nmf areas painted prior. Does not take as long as you might think.Applied in a dotted and streaked method ,as long as they dont look too much like 'blobs'. This is the beginning of the chipping procedure.

...and on to the paint job. Here you will see the model and ref's laid out as well as my printout ,which is for shapes and layout ,not for color reference.

And starting with RLM 75 ,darkened slightly  with RLM 70.Front lower wing panel and camo on the upper wing/stabilizers. Masking quickly with tape and post it notes ,no pix of that ,I'm moving quickly through these first steps. I'll take a break now ,come back with the RLM 77 camo and the lower wing panels,to finish the wing today.

...moving along...

Bysa-Thanks -I may see color differently, this is a natural part of my personality ,no further enhancement needed. The color was mixed in a full pot of RLM 76 ,a touch of the RLM 82 , a touch of Sublime Green , and then the yellow to green it up.

Here is a cartoonish profile of the aircraft being modeled.

And here we are:

Tgunner-Thanks - bysa -There is very little of the Sublime green in the mix ,it also looks twice as intense on the screen as it is actually.

Here's a nice big pic of a swastika , in no way does this represent the mindset of the modeler or my (krow113) beliefs.Thought I would clear that up before any stupidity arises.

In some way need to escape from this mind block!

My grandfather had a '69 Dodge Charger in Sublime Green.

Krow, those markings look great. Did you use decals or did you paint them on?
