Here is a photo of a 229 I took in Vancouver BC in 2005. Very interesting. My build is driving me nuts, its either my lack of skill or the Dragon kit. Nothing seems to fit, I have had to cut the engine into bits to make them fit, well just the faces. I am just waitng for some glue to dry, then get stuck back into it. Had my swim this morning

Interesting builds guys. I actually have one of the first issue Ho 229 Dragon kits.  This is back right after Dragon bought out TriMaster.  The box has Dragon stickers over the TriMaster logos.  Alas though it was packed with the blinkin canopy top dead center and it arrived split right down the middle.  ACK!

Shortly after I lost desire to build and have not touched a kit to build in 20 years.  Now I am getting into the build again.  Not in time for this GB I am afraid. (kit has been in storage for 10 years and brought it home and it is still in great shape less canopy)

I have to finish my milling machine upgrade first!  Am adding digital micrometer readouts to the X Y and Z axis for a small hobby class milling machine. (no not a Sureline, much larger and beefier)  The machine is a table top that stands about 30 inches tall with a 6 x 9 inch table and does use regular mill attachments. (though small sizes)  Almost done with the mod and looking forward to doing my first build in over 20 years.  Lots of things have changed (for the better)!

From looking at my Revell kit and the photos of the Dragon kit several members have nicely posted it looks as if the 1/72nd Revell kit is a smaller copy of the Dragon one.

oooooo - sometimes I love google! I think I tracked down a PDF version from one of those online publication download sites. (I don't feel bad about this one, I quite often buy their mags too.)

I'm not sure of the lineage of the RoG version of that kit Goose.

...the Revell of Germany 72nd is a  kit that is much easier to find than the Dragon one--and cheaper...

Is the Revell DE kit a re-box of the old Pioneer ( Turkish mfr ) kit?
