Ah Okay then well I did choose my super tomcat but thats not allowed, I've got a 1/32 Mig 29UB and a 1/32 Mig 21MF, it will probably be the Mig 21. How do I join? just post pictures as I go along? Or is there something i need to do to join? Never done this before you see.

What planes for the group build?  I have never done one before, I was asked to join when I didn't know what model to build, sooo Is it Migs? I saw someone type they love Migs, so is that the deal, Migs or can it be any Russian aircraft? or just any aircraft?

Wings and Vert Stabilizer glued...shouldn't need much fill...

Fuselage cut, cleaned, and test-fitted.....looks like it will need some fill...

Canopy and Instrument panel (?!?!)  futured and covered...

Can't do much on the cockpit til the ejector seat arrives and I do an ejectorectomy...

Query:  The destructions appear to indicate I'm supposed to put the decal on the underside (away from the seat...upside down???) of the instrument panel; then paint the front (facing the seat. Is this correct???

Haven't seen an IP like that before. Haven't done many jets....

Some kits will have you build it that way to give the IP a more realistic look.  Accurate Miniatures was one company that had that feature a lot...I'm guessing the IP is a clear part?

I've got a few candidates here!

Will likely go with the 1/72 SU-15 first, then one of the Eduard kits.

What the?....  fermis is a Communist?!?!??

Just noticed the 1/32 Flanker - that'll be a large beast!

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

Me Mig has arrived. Very pedestrian Revell kit.

A CLEAR instrument panel (w/ decal)...that's kinda different. I'll probably have to do some sculpting to get the ejection seat to fit.

I'm think the 1964 (my birthyear!) Soviet version. I got enough different shades of green to weather it up reel good!

Manstein's revenge

F@#$ !!!

You have the whole "F series !!!  Flagon will be cool...

There's many, many more "F"s out there! Doesn't EVERY Soviet fighter start with an "F", and bombers with a "B".

I'm leaning heavily on the Flagon! Just gotta wrap up a couple A-7s first!

Can I join up with a Revell MiG-21??? ($17 on Amazon)

The color scheme looks basic enough I can always do it with rattlecans if my airbrush skills aren't up to snuff...

Dre

Just took advantage of Squadron's "loyal" sale to order a MiG-23MF Flogger and some PE for it...  nice price for 1/32....  I'm such an easy mark for a sale.

I've got most of the parts in my MiG-17 cleaned up and ready for paint.  I've got a Tamiya Skyray about half-finished, so I'll have two "irons in the fire" for a while.  I haven't been in the mood for modeling much lately as our 30-year old son has had a serious health issue in the past few weeks.  We've received some good news in the last few days and are waiting on his surgery date. I'll get some MiG work done soon and post a pic or three.  There's a sheet of Kopro decals that would sure work well with the MiG-17 I'm planning but nobody has them in stock so far.  Oh well, it'll be a while before I need them.

I've got all the sunshine I can stand right now and no WIP pics either.... but lots of subassemblies ready to be sanded and cleaned up.   Work is getting in the way of modeling this week, blame NASCAR.

Well, no pictures this time, but a report of progress nonetheless. I have all panels sanded smooth, and subassemblies taking shape. I also must find my scriber. it has walked off.... Will start rescribing soon.
