Mars-1 - Check out a company by the name of Tank Workshop. They make a very good nose for the Jumbo. You may also want to check out their turret replacement. Your asking about a 76mm. I take it you want to upgun your Jumbo from the standard 75mm. You may want to look for a Jordi Rubio barrel.

A little more than 2 weeks until the group build starts. I'm getting excited. Does every one have there models and other products in place for the build?

..............sorry i thought i posted...sherman m4a8a3...(cant remember the #'s)...it'a a 1/72...my first in armor that size....maybe i did a self propelled carriage back in the day...but now is what counts...jeffl

Chris it should be Captain Caveman = Sherman Firefly Tracks (i hope i can do them)
the Firefly needs to be finished and the Tracks are pushing me back to the Panzers

Well you all have done it.I am in your group build sence there are so minie Sherman lovers out there.Yes,thats right the SHERMAN won the poll.
My SHERMAN will be the Tamaya early production model modified to a sand bag SHERMAN.It will be straight out of the box with the sand bag armor and angle iron in the front for the hedge rows.I will start this project when I get back in six weeks of driving.If you have any pics to help me with this,go to the "SAND BAG SHERMAN"on the

Gosh, this is going to be fun! With that many participants, we gonna need to hold on to our keyboards and screens, if not, there's going to be pages and pages of posts to read..!

Robert, you got it right, it's the Ambutank I'm going for. I've got a spare 1/72 Sherman engine and turret if anyone is interested...! LOL

updated again. we have 12 pages and we're still more than 2 weeks away from the start, its going to be a page a day easily

i'm going to have to take alternate days off work just to keep up with the posts even before any building has been done....this is getting quite funny!!

sorry about the delay on my kit i will build,,,,,will be a tamiya m4a3,,,,,simple out of the box,,,,,,,maybe some one can give me a suggestion on replacing the rubber band tracks with an aftermarket,which is good and some what easy to do?
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i have the nfl playoffs to watch,,,,,,,with OUT my vikings,,,,,sighs ,,tc all sorry again on the delay

yep, the stupidest play to put them out of the playoffs. 4th and 20-something, caught in the end of the end zone with one foot in and pushed out of bounds by a defender, oh well. maybe next year!
