That Superfort will take up some REAL room on the bench, Vetteman..

If you got the space to do it, then by all means... (I thought about that one too, lol) However, I don't have the space right now to paint it after it's assembled and although I could leave the wings off and paint the fuselage and wings as sub-assemblies, I'm concerned about wing fit at the roots and having to screw up the finish on it after I glue the wings on..

Nope... OA-10A.. Stop thinking about it, Hammer...

On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3

Sign me up.  I've got the old 1/144  Matchbox Dornier Do-X kit that is no longer collectable since it was re-popped (thank you VERY much Revell !)  Might as well build it.

I'm claiming the most props of all ....... mwuuhahaha.  Lets see, 5 engines, each with a four bladed puller at the front and another 4 blade pusher at the back....lets see.....thats 40 prop blades.  Ha, hows that Tupolev looking now ?

What'd I win ?

Wirraway you win the "Way Too Many Props GB badge", Welcome to the build

Vetteman42 - Got you down has TBD, though I could see the 1/48 B-29 has a crossover with your Natural Metal Finish 3 GB Wink

Hiya:

I'd like to toss my hat into the ring and join this GB ...

My entry will be a Lockheed Electra, 1/144th scale and finished in the beautiful 'Catch My Smile' color scheme of PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines) of San Diego, CA ...

Hi B17, I managed to get my hands on a Tamiya 1/48 Dornier Do335A, this odd bird had twin engines, one on the back for each of it's two props. Now it's a small fighter size and I was thinking that the "too many props" may work for this one as it looks a bit silly but looks like a fun build.

Let me know if I qualify.

Cheers

On the bench: A-4F 1/32 Hasegawa

Just deployed: F6F-5N Hellcat Nightfighter 1/48 Eduard

Up next: A6-E Intruder 1/48 Revell

Casper - The Do335 does qualify. The "arrow" has two engines, one for the front prop and another engine for the back prop, with the pilot in between (kinda of dangerous IMHO); got you on the list.

I was toying with the idea of building the 1/48 Superfortress too.  If you decide to jump in with your B-29, to quote a movie, "Give me a call.  I'll fly with ya".

Yeah Hans that 35 inch wing span is kind of intimidating, however it would be a good excuse to build a bigger better bench Wink Just not sure I want to commit to the B-29 yet, because that surely would be a commitment.

Macattack that would be fun building with you, will let you know before the start date Yes

Go ahead and sign me up for a classic Monogram B25J in 1/48 scale.  It's the one dated 1981.  Probably OOB, but might scratch or AM some extra stuff into the mix.

In the Hangar: 1/48 Hobby Boss F/A-18D RAAF Hornet,

On the Tarmac:  F4U-1D RNZAF Corsair 1/48 Scale.

I'm doing the B25, just because I don't have room for anything bigger right now.  And having done a half dozen of those 29s over the years, I have to tell ya... THEY ARE HUGE!    LOL

Yeh, Wing Fit is always an issue with those.  And even with the cross spars they used for the wings, they still have a tendency to dip.    But they are worth the effort though.. Beautiful kit.  I wish I had room to do mine right now, but I wouldn't know where to display it.

B-29 this, B-29 that ya'll are going to make me pull mine out.  Still undecided.  Just picked up a 1/48 Trumpeter Wellington off ebay for $40, might do that one.  Too many kits to pick just one. Confused.  Of course it doesn't help that 90% of my stash is multi-engine props.

ARGH!!  Scratch that B25J.  I just opened the rather flattened box to find 2 very flattened parts trees...  Can you switch me to the classic old 1/48 Monogram De Havilland DH-98 Mosquito?  Not sure of marking yet.  The motto here is if you buy a ,odel in a squished box, examine the contents BEFORE the seller's return policy expires. lol

Nope... OA-10A.. Stop thinking about it, Hammer...

Now you're making me think about my Catalina....I got the 1/48 OA-10A sitting at the bottom of my stash, neglected.  I was gonna do it as a Midway 5a when I got around to it, but now I'm thinking I could get around to it earlier...

Hmm.....I also got that Liberator I pulled out of the 8th AF GB and a B-26.  MAYBE I'll do another one if time permits

-Matt
