Kermit: Wow, that's a beautiful A-10- or as beautiful as an A-10 can be! Great work!!!

Baron: Looking good!

Been busy this weekend but the landing gear is on the Shark. Hopefully photos soonish. At least the whole darn thing is navy blue 'cept the tires so she ought to be easy to paint.

Gamera the Shark is lookin good man Yes But from the looks of it it took a bunch of intestinal fortitude to get it there, and sand paper too. Toast

Medicman wow you've done a bunch of work on that nose, tis gonna look great when finished. Eats

Red Baron your first scratch work is looking fantastic, keep up the good work. Oh a word of warning about scratch building, it IS highly addictive. Once you start its hard not do on all your builds Stick out tongue

Kermit ummm yes, thats it !!!! Thats a very very well done, super good looking, swell "HOG"  buddy. Seriously though, that is a very nice A-10 man, lots of detail showing and your figure is top notch for sure, and really adds to the build. Bow Down You made that kit sing for sure.

Now we have a Kermified HOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CallSignOwl might I ask if a F8F-2 Bearcat built as a G-58 Gulfhawk race plane fit in here ?? I dont believe one was ever raced so if I build it as a racer would be a what if kinda thing.

Hmm...that's a toughie. The Bearcat qualifies, but not the Gulfhawk (hawks fly, so do aircraft. The build needs to be mismatched)  Huh?

Ouch!  You could almost drive a Maus through those gaps.  I don't envy you.  Shame, because the paint looks so smooth and well done!

It'll look great when completed. Big Smile

Squadron products fast drying white putty. cost me $10 for this stuff!

i dont have much time to work on my models anymore, since my school holidays are finsihed so i wake up at 5:00am to work on my P-39 and go to bed at 9:00pm.

and i had advanced gr8 math homework last night.

im happy with my paint job (its only my first time using spray paint on a model Surprise )

Looks like a good road to recovery, there.  What's difference between the Green and the White Putty from Squadron?  Any major differences, or just a random choice?

Thanks for the WIP photos.  They encourage me to finish my T-62.  I'm sort of stalled and not too highly motivated.

i have no idea ive never used the green putty, but this one dry's in 10minutes.

i'll post more WIP pics after school.

im stalled now since i cant decide to:

1 - hand brush the underside?
2 - buy another $10 spray can and spray the underside?
3 - or wait untill i get all the gear to airbrush the underside?

Ok here's an explination I got from another forum:

Tamiya White: Goes on nice. Doesn't dry too fast while you are trying to work with it. More challenging to sand and scribe because it dries hard. Doesn't shrink much. Very fine grain and feathers nice. Difficult for me to see well because of insufficient contrast with gray or especially white plastic.

Squadron Green: Dries quick, so you have to work fast. Sands VERY easily. Scribes easily. Shrinks quite a bit. Feathering takes a bit more care and dropping to a finer grade of sandpaper. I can see it easily as it DOES contrast well with almost anything you apply it too.

I have made a bit of progress on Passion Wagon, looks like an airplane now Stick out tongue

I even got the flaps ready to be installed. A bit of evergreen here and a bit of glue there and I am in business. Oh there was some filing and sanding involved too.

Baron & V-man: Great work on those ponies guys!

Thankfully the Dark Shark is together!

I sprayed her tonight with a coat of Mister Surfacer and amazingly I didn't find too many flaws- although with the light grey MS she looks more like a Great White Shark than a Dark Shark......

Hopefully will get to the pre-shading and laying down the navy blue this weekend!

Thanks Owl! It's funny- looking at the line drawings I thought this was one butt-ugly bird but as she takes shape I'm starting to really like the lines of her.

OK, you're on sir! Though since the Shark has a prop on the nose and jet in her tail I'm need to figure out if I should be doing a prop sound (bbbbbbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) or a jet sound (ssssszzzzzoooooooooooooooommmmmmmm).
