Normally we take a holiday, but more recently taking a vacation has been seeping into society. 

Off the top of my head heres a couple more.

Apartment - Flat (Any rented property is called a flat here)

Pants (Of the long variety) - Trousers (Its the wrong trousers grommit)

Pants (Of the short variety) - Shorts.

Mom - Mum.

Color - Colour

Fanny....lets not go there.

Theres a few others, cant think of them right now.

I've always thought it interesting the different names for the same thing in the US vs. the UK and Commonwealth. I think after the revolution somebody decided to change all the names around.

Thomas Jefferson: 'Ok, now that we've decided we'll all drive on the right side of the road like the French what's next?'

i lost the control stick from my F4U-4, got a spare from someone on here (thanks gregbear), and then when we rearranged the living room (where my bench is) lo and behold hiding in a corner where the carpet rolls down a little. That was about 18 months. By which time the kit had been finished and broken due to earthquakes.

Gosh Scorpio, ye' got me on that one......

I think that ones a gasoline torch, or an acetylene torch.....?

yeah, just messing with the translation.....torch means the same thing up here too...

Well, I normally use the 'crack' method. When you step on the part and hear it go 'crack' you know you found it

The A-20 is together, just need to prime her and sand out any flaws. The camera shop said I'd have my Nikon back any day- cross your fingers.

Very nice precision work, guys!!  I don't have space for 1/32!    Guess I'll just have to keep losing those tiny bits.  And they sure are hard to reproduce!

Same here.  I'm sick and tired of having to have my Daughter come in and find some tiny joystick or landing gear strut that I dropped on the floor.  At least I can see the 1/32 scale stuff... :)

mind you, according to Franklin as a guide, one of those turkey feather actuators is

down right huge compared

to those tiny Swiss watch bits you are attaching to those seat belts.......

I have just enough steadiness left in my hands for this scale......

I would probably be over challenged to do anything that detailed

in less than 1/32, or more accurate than 'Revell Specs'....lol

I know what you mean, I am moving into the 1/32 scale myself after this F-4 is done.  Mind you I have plenty of 1/48 scale kits left to do, but I will start building the 1/32 kits now and leave the 1/48 when I run out.  (Like that will ever happen  )

Well tonight I think I have the ejection seats done except for the upper ejection handles.  I am going to start on those tomorrow night.  I have a plan already for how I am going to do those.  I don't want to use the photo-etch because I want to use something that has more 3-D than flat photo-etch can offer.  Here is how the seats look tonight:

Hi Dom,

Great work!  Especially for doing it from scratch!  That took a lot of patience putting all of those things in there.  You got them lined up really straight.

Here is my progress so far.  I did get some touch up paint on and put the lower seat belts on.  I now wish I had chosen a different shade of green for the lower seat cushion to better show off the belts.  They are way to close to the same color:

 

By the way, I noticed that Roden finally released their T-28B kit.  From the reviews I have read, it looks like it is a decent kit.  I will be ordering mine next week.  I wonder how long it will take before there will be after-market accessories available for it.

OK, monster men, time to get back to Berny's aircraft.

Here's some of the stuff I'm starting with:

The aft molding on the cockpit tub wasn't all there.

The instrument panel was a bit crude, so I sanded it off smooth and added some PE parts.

The PE came from 2 Eduard sets for the F-102.  I modified and added parts of it to the instr panel.  I know this isn't quite accurate for the TF, but I think it looks better than what came with the conversion kit.  (Hopefully, Berny wouldn't mind a little artistic deviation.) 

That's it so far.  Now on to the hard parts.
