Great job Doug. She looks like a Langnasen now! It looks like the kit gives you closed in wheel wells? Any corrections there?
I have the Revell 190F-8. I'll be building from the box.
maxfax Mustang, Count me in. I'll be doing a AMC 1/24 FW 190 A5, won't be starting for a few months. Rob

Nathan... Yes they are... For now, I will be changing that as she progresses. I've already started opening them up for alteration as the build goes on. Thanks!
\Doug (RR)
PS... Like I said before, I've been building her in my head for months now, and hope it comes out any where near as good as I've imagined.(ha)
Thank you for your nice comments.
Completed the pilot's seat, rudder pedals and glued the seatbelts.
I finished the "office" of the pilot. Everything already glued in place.
Now the wells and landing gear.
Regards
ajcmac
Nice! Is that the Eagle Parts gun cowl I see? Its a much better shaped cover.
You need to use a site like flicker or photobucket to post pictures to , then you should be able to hilite properties, copy, then open this site , use rich formatting, click on "picture' icon then paste and insert.
Hey Guys,
How can i post pics of the build to the forum thread? I would like to post some pics of my progress and my wife, who is a comp wiz, is out of town.

First, you need to make sure to use the "use rich formatting" option when replying. Otherwise you're SOL.
Next...I wrote up a blog post on this a while back. Forum software has changed since and the insert image button is now the one that looks vaguely like a polaroid picture, not the filmstrip (that's for video), but the rest of it still fits.

YAY it worked, Thanks doog followed your instructions......
WTF? There was a picture there......
OK, I think I got it......
OK... A little bit more...
This so far is and has been one of the POOREST Efing fits of any model that I have ever built, BAR NONE!!! Keeping in mind however that the kit is 25 yrs old and had previously been started. That being said... Like the old Chief from Josey Wales, and I quote..."I endeavor to persevere" unquote. LOL...Not going to let it whip me!
Doug
Dang Doug. Youre fighting the good fight. Keep up the good work pal!!!!
Doug looks like quite the challenging kit. Just a hint but don't drop both ailerons. One side goes up and the other down accordingly.
OOPS
Hey Joe... Like I've said, I've been a bit under the weather and have taken several days off after the first and had nothing better to do... Wait, There IS nothing better to do...Man, see what I mean? lol Just got my new rivet tool in today and anxious to try it out!
Nathan... Sorry bud, I thought pushing a stick forward would drop both and moving side to side would cause up / down motion. Guess I need to read up a bit more. ha.. Thanks for the tip.
Right Doug but I meant ailerons on each wing. Left stick is left aileron up and right down, and vice versa. forward stick is elevators (they move together) down, (which you got correct)and aft stick is elevators up.
ryoung apparently, people are having a problem posting images from flickr. Not sure what the issue is. If you can't get the image to show, just post the direct link in a normal post. Not sure if its a flickr issue or this site.
Gotcha... Thanks Nathan.
Hey guys. Just waiting on my quick boost control stick/ column to arrive in the mail. I just recieved my Model Master MG131 gun barrels yesterday and they are a beaut! Speaking of which I am moving on to the firewall/ ammo box area. After some intensive clean up of all of the parts assosiated with the ammo box/ firewall area I applied the usual RLM 02 and am waiting on that all to cure out. No more will I ever complain about Trumpeter or any other of our premier model kit manufuacturers and their flash/ ejector pin marks!!!! It's just the way it is.

Thanks doogs! I will give it a go!
hey guys,
In my eduard A-5, the seat does not have any custion. Where all A5's produced that way? I have been getting mixed photos on them. Any help would be nice as I can either purchase an AM seat or use some milliput to scratch one.
Also, and more importantly, does anyone have any A5's in winter camo?
Any help would be really great! THANKS!!!
In the later years it appears that some aircraft did without some of the comfort items but mostly they did have cushions. It's too late for me on mine otherwise I would have installed a cushion of some sort. I can't imagine sitting in a bird for an extended period of time without a cushion though. Whew! That would surely hurt!!! I used to fly in a Huey for up to 4 hours and the seats even though they had some cushioning would get to the ol "fourth point of contact" after about 2 hours!!
