MPM!! I have a couple of those kits! The one I have has more flash than a nuclear bomb explosion!!!!
Forum | Modelers Social Club Forum (proboards.com)
MPM and ICM are European mfg kits, (Czech I believe )and the ones I, ve seen are pretty nicely done and fairly well detailed. The Bf 109s have engines and many other features not found in many kits. All in allpretty nice kits for the money.

MPM, yet another mfg I've never heard of. Looks like it should be a good one, Joe. Look fwd to watching.
Thats odd Joe, neither of the kits that I found had that much flash... however the G3 I, m doing now does. Its a Revell/Monogram pro kit, but I know that Dragon molded the parts. The last Dragon I did needed virtually no trimming at all. Go figure... still a good find for you!
Doug
Hey Joe,,, So,,, since you made this a bit longer I'm gonna (and by me I mean Herman) will throw a kit at this GB as well ,, not sure what,, not sure when ,, but .... sometime
Wulfstang!
That's a great find Joe. Looks like something off the island of Dr Moreau.
Yeah, I was able to score an Fw 189 in 1/48 scale by MPM, off Ebay. Real nice detail, and also have 3 ICM Bf 109s also highly detailed. Again, good kit Joe, you will enjoy that one.
Cool Joe! Even though I'm off of work right now , I'm busier than a one legged man in an azz kickin contest!!! Time to research and/ or surf is out so I appreciate the help. You know you like having a pain in the butt like me around anyways!!!
mustang1989Now if I can just find one for sale in 1/48 scale..........
I'm searching for you Joe. The kit you're looking for is an all resin kit by R.V. Resins. Seems to be a beautifully detailed kit as it gets some very high reviews. Nothing turned up on ebay yesterday but, I'll keep my eye open for you. Here's at least one link to a build review.

Doug, it appears that it will build up nicely yet, upon opening the box you are struck by a healthy bit of flash to clean up.

That is friggin AWESOME!! Now if I can just find one for sale in 1/48 scale................................
MPM and ICM, ...Nice kits, very nicely detailed... You'll like that one.
Well, my FW 190 hording friends, I still have no backbone. I have added another kit to my stash. I finally managed to win a 1/72 MPM Focke Wulf FW 190 V18 on ebay. I've been wanting this kit of this unusual and cool looking 190. The V18 was one of the attempts to design a 190 that would perform at high altitudes. The V18 was a standard 190 frame fitted with the Daimler Benz 601 engine and had a supercharger installed below the fuselage. The lower supercharger led to this aircraft also being called the "Wulfstang", given it's similarity to the Mustang. I've been trying to win one of these kits for quite awhile but they kept going for much more than I was willing to pay. Then 2 weeks ago this one came up and I managed to snag for $20.00. I will build this for the GB as soon as I am done with my current F-8. It is a limited run kit that comes with a fret of PE.
A hearty welcome, Monty! I managed to miss the intro post that Joe mentioned, will check it out.
Great bunch of folk here, think you will enjoy. And I shall enjoy watching you build a 190!!!
Joe and Joe, thanks for your comments on my seat cushion. I shall try your suggestions, thanks!
LOL
I know how many 190s are on my bench though: 10
Like forgetting how many 190's you have on the bench! That's what insanity does!
On the Bench: 1/72 Ki-67, 1/48 T-38
1/144 AC-130, 1/72 AV-8A Harrier
Jester75Be forwarned of 190 fever though, if you catch it, you may end up building a fleet of them like Clemens. There is no known cure either!!
I think I found a cure for it! Building more of them! Wait a sec, something sounds strange about that one... Nah, you're right, there is no cure! But insanity has some advantages as well!
Hi Monty
Looking forward to seeing whatever 190 you decide on!
Allen
Welcome to the GB Monty! Like everyone has said, its a great place with some great people. Be forwarned of 190 fever though, if you catch it, you may end up building a fleet of them like Clemens. There is no known cure either!!
Eric
Welcome Monty!
I'm sure you'll have lots of fun in this great GB! (at least I do )
Someone has to warn you though (and it looks liek it's me) that you can get quite addicted to 190s as soon as you start building with us crazy folks... But don't worry, Reverend Joe is here to guide us all on our journey to perfect insanity, err I mean enlightenment!
Cheers, Clemens (the mad Austrian)
Welcome to the GB Monty! It is great to have you join us and share your build with us. Joe had told me about your P-40 earlier and that he was going to invite you to join us. Don't be shy here as this group is a fun, lively and talented lot prone to some rather outlandish behavior and bantering. Looking forward to seeing what you got for us. And tell us a little bit about yourself, where you from, how long you've been modeling, what do you like to build, etc.. Again Monty I am really glad you have joined us. ENJOY!!
Joe
Welcome aboard Monty...looking forward to seeing your work.
MontyMahendra Hi folks - I am Monty and this is my first post here. I haven't decided on a kit yet, but I am looking forward to take part in this GB very soon. Ciao, Monty

As I said above welcome to the Group build Monty. Lemme know what you want to build and I'll be happy to put it down in the intro post. Your among a great group of guys here in this build. Top notch in fact!
First off nice job on the seat cushion Greg! Being made of milliput I'm not sure what to use on it for a wash liquidwise. I do know I wouldn't hesitate to hit it with a dry brush application of ground up black pastel!!
That's really cool Greg. I might suggest drybrushing the edges and high points with some lightened hull red to give it a worn look. Milliput is one of the few items I do not have on my bench. Yet, I have always been curious about using it. Well done.
Speaking of insanity, would like to share my accomplishment of the past 24 hours. This would be my first Milliput seat cushion, or first Milliput anything for that matter. Manged to end up a bit undersized after my pinching and forming, and I think it's gonna stay that way. Just slopped on a couple coats of hull red as a starting point, and may just call 'er done. Or maybe a black oil wash. Turned out better than I'd expected, kinda scared to mess with it!
Rather impressive stuff, that Milliput. Messy too. This is for my just started A-8, of course.
LOL... Like I tell people Clemens... I dont suffer from insanity... I ENJOY every minute of it!
Joe M... Well shucky darn, I didnt realize that until you said something, Damn proud of that milestone!
Rev. Joe...Tell it brother! Let the word go out and the word shall be spread amongst the non believers!
John... (Falcon) She who must be obeyed! LOL I like that... Mine just gave up asking any more, I guess she feels at least when Im at my bench she knows where I am and what I'm doing! (grin) But still...
And there is another confused soul which was guided to the right path! All of that thanks to our Reverend Joe! May the gods of plastic be praised! AMEN!
Doug: I never claimed to be sane... I know I'm completely insane and I'm damn proud of it!
Chanterlol Rev Joe, I shall henceforth walk towards the light....grey styrene.
Heh, heh, Very good. Very good indeed.
Doug - Very nice start. Excellent scheme too. Boy, am I glad you clarified the prop hub painting as my first response was, "Whoa, Tha's rather unDoug like". Very cool that you try to replicate the most minute detail. Indeed, Joe worked me pretty good to attempt that scheme but, simply did not have the confidence in my airbrushing skills to give it a go. i.e. I chickened out.
