Thank you very much for the compliment guys.

There were times I thought I wasn't going to get them done. From the Hun's missing canopy and old decals,  2 sets of AM decals, to the F 100's poor fitting parts, bungled panel line sanding, again torn decals, the exhaustive search for new ones, and finally the missing wheels,  it was a tough run. I'm happy their completed, and turned out so well despite the hurdles.

Now on to other endeavors.

Incredible job! I am constantly amazed at how easy you made it look to get such a smooth coat of bare metal. I can't even get past the Gloss Black stage before Alclad! I bow in the presence of greatness.

Woody,

It's a great kit with a few issues, but it's got such good detail in the cockpit areas, and such sleek, classic lines with SOOOO MANY GUNS!!  What's not to love???

Thanks TAD, I wish my iPad took better pics, but I just don't use my PC much or a real camera. I'm enjoying this build though.

Thanks for you condolences guys. I'm finished with the 100 and 104, both on their respective bases and just waiting for the new F-100 decals. I just need to replace the "US AIR FORCE" and some rescue markings on both sides. It should only take me a few minutes, then I take some pics of both, and call them done.

Thank you echolmberg for your generosity in helping replace my 104 decals.

A lot of decal SNAFU's with these two builds.

Well I had to put the two P-47s aside for a week or so.  Had to make the drive from central Nebraska to Buffalo NY because I HAVE A NEW GRANDDAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And yes she is the most beautifule creature on the planet and I am smitten and madly in love with her!

On the plane front I do have a fair amount done but didn't get a chance to take pics.

Stik, I just realized the next two builds I have scheduled are both monogram kits and thought it would be fun if I could get both of them done within six months. If it's OK, I'd like to sign up with an F4-C and F-80 both in 1/48. They are both crossovers from your Vietnam War and the Dawn of the Jet Age GBs going on.

On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk

MC, I've had that happen even after sealing the decals. I learned to use silly putty or lay paper between the decal and the tape.

Dog gone it!

I was doing some finishing touches, wanted to touch up the canopy frame, and masked it off just a little bit. After I sprayed, I pulled off the masking tape and oops, up come some decals. After some choice words, I ordered a new set (the same set I originally ordered for the Hun).

Oh well, I can use some of the "No Step" and other decals to add to my F 104. They should be here in about a week. I'll unveil both the the F 100 and F 104 at that time after I get them on.

And no, I didn't have the decals sealed yet.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.  Bang Head

Hey Modelcrazy, I'm really loving that finish on the Hun. The burnt metal in back is very realistic. Great job

Here's my Hun so far. I still need to mask off some panels and the rear exhaust area befor I spray the gloss and add decals. I know it looks kinda  messy, but the F 100, from what I've seen, just doesn't have that polished look like the F 104 seems to have.

Comments, criticisms welcome.

68GT, great color job on your bipe!

Woody, your Black Widow is progressing nicely; especially like the weathering of your gear bay doors; pretty sweet!!!

Hey all, just a quick update on the P-61. So far it's going together pretty well, no major problems. The wing/booms are together and required a good glob of putty at the rear root. Other than that,no complaints. Other than I just don't seem to have a lot of time right now. Anyway, enjoy and as always comments and criticism welcome.
