Hey everyone,

Man, there are some great builds here!  Super work everyone!  Haven't forgotten about the Mig!  Here are a couple of progress pics for you.  I'm thinking of trying for a Soviet plane serving in Afghan.  We'll see.  Here she is.

Good job on the P-61 Woody!

I was able to get most of the major construction finished.  A little bit of filler here and there, but the fit wasn't too bad overall.  I stuck a large fishing weight in the nose to make sure it wasn't a tailsitter.  I also noticed after I got the fuselage together, that there was a bit missing on the vertical stabilizer just above the rudder.  A few pieces of styrene later (with just a bit of putty for the gaps) I was back in business.

Woody, your Widow looks great. After due consideration you are accepted into the family ;) I will get your P-61 added to the facepage here shortly.

Freem, please share some photos of the Jugs.

Cody, I will get your car added to the roster here soon. I'm looking forward to seeing it built!

Great job everyone!!  Just constant proof that these Monogram stand up to any kits out there.

I had surgery on a leg this week and had to stay home (not that I'm complaining) so I got a lot of work done on my 2 P-47s. For reasons I am not patient enough to deal with right now I cant seem to download photos. So here's what I have done so far---photographic proof to come--------

Cockpits done and installed in the fuselages which are glued together.

Wings together and seams sanded. I think I will replace the blast tubes.

Bombs, drop tanks, wheels assembled, interior painting done.

Building straight out of the box except for decals and the aforementioned.

The kits are the "Turtle" bubbletop whose decals were ruined but replacements found, and the razorback from the dual combat kit with the Do-335 which I completed for that GB.

So here we begin a new build.  Its the 1949 Mercury Wagon.  Looks fun!  The 49 ford shares the color I will be using.  Its called Berwick Green.

Thanks everyone. This has been a good build, just wish I had more time right now. Anyway, she'll probably be done here in a day or two. Not planning on weather too much. Just a little exhaust staining and slight chipping. I really like the gloss finish and really don't want to loose too much of that. Thanks again guys.

Nice work Woody,

That kit is such a classic, I've probably built it 2 or 3 times in my life, never looked as good though.

Looks great to me woody, heck of a lot better than when I tried to build one years and years ago. How much you planning on weathering it?

MV, after careful consideration, you are now made. And she is a beauty indeed! Any chance you can take a few  more photos of her with a plain background?

SB, your Phantom's front office is looking good. A nice preview of things to come I am sure....

Looks good!  I'm doing the same kit, but my markings will be for Sugar Foot III, for the commander of the 559th TFS based in Cam Rahn Bay.  I was able to finish the cockpit this week, hopefully I'll be able to make some more progress this weekend.

MC, WOW! You did an amazing job on the Hun and Starfighter. Someday I hope to do NM as well. Great job.

ECHO, thanks, I appreciate the comments. I'm gonna use the stock "snuffy smith" decals. I've been out of town so haven't gotten anymore done on her as of now. Hopefully this week she'll get done

Woody, the P-61 is my favorite plane of all time.  The finish on your plane looks so darned purdy!!!  Can't wait to see it all finished up.  Which markings will you be using?
