SB, your F-4C looks pretty damned good to me! Nice to see markings of one of the lesser modeled units, instead of the more common  8th TFW or 432nd TRW with their more famous Mig Killer birds. Well done!

CB, very nice progress on your Mustang. It almost looks like you're gonna do a magazine article with such a slick presentation ;)

Here are the finished pics of my F-4C.  I made a few mistakes along the way, and didn't catch them until it was too late, but I'm still pretty happy with it.

Now on to my Shooting Star...

Nice!  Very nice!  Doin' that kit some justice.

Got a bit more work done on the cockpit . Not thrilled with the results but I am happy with the IP as it was my first successful attempt at dry brushing a color other than silver.

Nice looking Mig Eagle90. I have the fujimi 1/72 and Academy 1/48. Sure would like to get time to build one of 'em one day. Mig-21's are like the Me109's of the jet age. Endless versions and paint scheme options!

You aren't kidding!  I had the 2 Squadron Signal books on the Mig-21 out the whole time and I STILL messed it up!  Embarrassed  I used the wrong tail from the kit!  But like you said, there is endless versions, so in the long wrong you can't go wrong!  Thanks for the kind words!

So now (as I step into the office of the Dom).  Dom, I respectfully and humbly ask your permission to use the badge of honor on my signature line.  I will honor it always and give it the respect it deserves.  I won't let you down godfather.  And if there is ANYTHING you ever need......

Well, I'm calling her finished!  My love for the Mono/Revell kits will never die!  Like being a kid again!  The kit had its moments, but overall a great build.  The paint scheme didn't turn out as originally thought of, but it turned out pretty cool I think.  Wish I could have gotten a desert background for the pics, but my printer ran out of color ink!  So here she is!

You mean there's no dullcoat on it now? Man, that MiG looks finished already! Fantastic job man, I'd say you earned it.

Thank you Maddog!  Will post next, but did get the dull coat on.  Wanted to print out a desert background for it, but my printer ran out of color ink!  Embarrassed  Thanks again!

Thanks Dave! They are markings for Sugar Foot III which was the CO's plane of the 559 TFS of the 12 TFS based out of Cam Rahn Bay in 1969. I'll have to check when I get home, but I think the decals are from SSI. The stencil data is from the kit decals

EDIT:  I looked last night but didn't get a chance to post, the markings were in a set from Microscale, not SSI. They were pretty old, but went on very well

Cool disruptive scheme, Eagle.  Well done, sir!!

Thank you sir!  Didn't start off that way, but turned out to be different for sure.  So I rolled with it.  Should get the dull coat on tonight and finish it up!

Man the builds in here are awesome!  Brings back a lot of memories!  Good ones at that!

Here are a couple of more progress pics.  Just about done with her.  A few touch ups and a coat of dull and she will be finished!  Then I might get the great badge of honor!  Indifferent

Ok, I have decided. I hope to finish at least two of these four kits in the next 6 months. Wilsh me luck. I'll need it. P-51 will probably be marked as on the box top but with non-kit decals! Or I may do Miss Marilyn II from the 55th FG...  P-47D-25 may be Rat-A-Dat 353rd FG NMF and Razorback may be Miss Behave 78th FG...  F-14 Markings? Not sure, Could be Gloss Gull Grey & White bird from VF-142 or 143 or an Overal Gloss Grey bird from VF-41/84/114/213 or VF-1 ( Who knows).

Finally finished all the decals.  I have a few touch-ups to do on the tail where the decal didn't quite line up right, and possible another coat of Micro Sol to get the decals to conform to some of the details.  I just wanted to get some pics up since I haven't updated in awhile.
