john, what you do is:

right click on the pic
go to properties
highlight the URL address
copy it
go into update profile
go into signature
put this [ img ] in there (no spaces though)
paste the URL after it (no spaces)
then put [ /img ] after it (no spaces)

This should do it for you

But make sure you click update profile before you leave

Alright, you guys STOP IT! You are all seemingly gonna outclass my poor OOB skills-lol, alright you won-wow, I had no idea you guys are so in love with rectifying problems--lol, I might have to get some of those skills soon. Petbat, we don't want you to miss out on any other GB's, but sure, if you wanna WELCOME! Captain Caveman, You are in too, if you want to-or you can just look on.

This is shaping up into an awesome build, thanks everyone(for my ego at having gotten a chance of getting a green star by the end of the build(maybe(probably not))) lol
Thanks, and oh yeah, by the way,
The M20, well, it's undercarriage has been painted a nice shade of green, and I am planning to weather it tomorrow, then add rust to the undercarriage parts like the exhaust, and the transmission.

I also snuck in some work on my T34/76mod.40

Hey Peter If you do that Russian Jeep I will deffinatly love to here your report on it. I have been debating buying it now for quite some time, and have always ended up buying something else like a Panther one time,,,,,, A King Tiger another,,, I even think I baught the sd.kfz 222 that I am building for this build and spurned that russian jeep as well. I think I see a trend building here. I dont know maybe.

Progress report. Finished filling and sanding the turret and have the first coat of paint on it. Have also painted the base coat on the rest of it. Pictures of the finished turret to follow soon.

Beav

Sorry, been trying to finish the Panther and Achilles for their respective builds and had to see how I was going for this one. Was going to cheat and build the Pak 36 3.7mm AT for the towed gun build and say the Krupp Protze was for this one Mischief [:-,] but I might build the old Tamiya Daimler Mk 2 Scout car (The Dingo) for this one as something different. (Have a heap of jeeps, but every man and his dog is doing a jeep or kubel). Hmm....I do have the old Tamiya Russkie Gaz jeep.......

Even with my bad habit of wanting to superdetail everything, I should get this and the towed gun builds finished in time.

So can I be allowed in? huh, can I ? Huh. Please, Huh ?.....

Updated the site today with builds mentioned sice the last one. No progress to mention from my end. Pretty much set every thing aside so I can finish a rather big fire truck I'm building. Hopefully be back on the little stuff soon though.

phroosh, Thanks. I think I'll build mine with markings from the African Theather. The Desert Rats, Montgomery's 8th Army. The ones that come with the kit.

feldgrau23, I see the pictures now good stuff.

That is good news Andy.

I bought my first Dragon kit not long ago, an old one, and it is really good as well.
I may have to buy one of their halftracks in the future.

Does the interior look detailed? How about the gun?

Andytee,

Nothing boring about that at all. I love halftracks, and winter whitewash looks great. There are plenty of little ways to make a model different and interesting. I am interested to see how it turns out, so you aren't boring me!

Nice work with the turret Rich. Worked out well!

Chassis is looking the goods there, Joe. What theatre are you planning for your Quad?

Well here are some very early pictures. Still have to sand down the putty (squadron green)and touch up the paint. I added a cable to the winch. I don't have any pictures of the winch or the undercariage of an actual Ford Quad so I am not sure if it is correct. That's the engine on the side. The only thing I will add to that is the spark plug wires.

Hey we can add the Small AFV Group Build badge to our signature even if we haven't finished.Tongue [:P]

Matt,, Edog and anyone else doing the sd.kfz 222 or 223 here are my modifications to the turret. hopefully they show up if not, they are on rons Site at the very end. The second picture shows the side that I think turned out better (more of an angle) basically I cut out the bad section plus a little bit of an angle forward to give it the forward look like in the previous post by edog I think. Then I just measured out a small piece of styrene to fit in there. I haven't put any putty in the seems yet but as soon as I do and then Paint it I will post those pics as well.

Well after much perseverence I got the pictures to show up.

The build, has begun, but, we will wait for you to get your parts in hand.
I love where people just think of a little addition to their model-such as a bike, there is a sherman in the new fsm, and you can just imagine what they did with that.

Hey Matt,, Ok I see what you are talking about,,, Yeah that is a bit of an undertaking. Upon first looking at it I thought maybe taking a pin vise and drilling it out might work but then I thought, no that probably wouldn't work because then the grating might look to thick. Worse you could miss one of the holes and then you would make it look worse.
By the way were did you find a internal engine compartment for yours?? Considoring I have already done some major modifications to mine I might be persuaded to do some more. Also as soon as I finish the turret modifications I will post them so you can see what I did.

Yep, it sure is a job. I have come up with a couple of PE mesh/ nylon mesh ideas that would look oaky, but am certainly still looking for the magic answer. My towed gun build hit a bit of a wall last night (not literally........yet.) so I might have to stop pouting on the sidelines and make a start. I am doing my interior from scratch, and am a bit undecided on whether to try an engine or not. Edog has some aftermarket bits and pieces I think but he would have to tell you exactly what (it's somewhere in this thread, too). It is a little hard to get aftermarket bits and pieces here in Oz. Well, here in South Oz.

Love to see your photos, because even though mine is a 223, I would like to do a 222 again (I have a finished one) especially after learning a bit more from this build.

Matt

Great work on the site, Chris, I will get Padawan to make his mind up between an M20 and an M8 soon.

I like the site. My Sd.Kfz. 250/3 is in progress. I got the kit for cheap so I guess I shouldn't be disappointed with the detail, but I am. Nevertheless, I'm considering building it mostly-OOB (I'm certain that I will be unable to resist adding some sheet brass/styrene additions though!). I also have a few PzKpfw.IA variants on the table and they are smaller than the SdKfz 250 - do they count for this build?
