What?! 9 days without a post? I feel as if I have let you all down. To top it off I have nothing to report on. I am making a base for the walker, which is all done, but the celluclay warped the wood pretty bad. I guess I did not seal it well enough, so today I am going to try straightening it out. At least when I get home from work. We will see, might be easier to start over.

Gamera

Wow that's some awesome stuff guys!!!

Stephan, are you going to do a skull face on the AT-ST? Your markings looks kinda like that to me, it would be pretty friggin' cool!

BTW: The wi-fi seems a little better tonight. Not sure why. It took me about 45 mins to watch a 15 min video on YouTube the other night. Walk off and just let it load in the buffer...

I've been touring around Colonial Williamsburg. They're really playing up the American Revolution thing now. I'd buy you a ticket Bish if you come off if you'd just walk up and down the street in a red coat screaming TREASON at random people. Wink

Lol, Bish, we do have a lot to answer for. Eyes are bigger than our free time and budgets, I think. :-)

But Bandai kits are so good!

Thanks guys, this is pretty close to being done now. I hope to have the beauty shots ready by this weekend.

The detail on this kit is outstanding. Then again, I have a few Bandai kits now and they are all very well detailed. I don't think you can go wrong getting this kit especially when you consider the other options that are out there currently. Confused

Agreed, looking really good, Stephan. Chipping adds just the right amount of wear and tear. Propeller

Man, that last photo--you can see the level of amazing detail Bandai puts into their kits. Now you've got me thinking I need an AT-ST. Aaaaagh, stop the madness.

That is a nice haul, local hobby shop or online? I would like to see the striker built also. The stormtrooper is a good kit. I finished mine up this past December, just deciding if I should keep him clean or dirty him up or just do something different.

Some update pics of the AT-ST, just did some chipping and put the subassemblies together. I will need to figure out what stance to put it in. The right hip joint got kind of loose during handling so I am going to need to glue it in place.

I am using pigments to continue the weathering and  I will show images of that as it gets done. I do not think I have much left to do on this kit.

Yes Lord Bish....The TIE Striker will be fully operational soon.  Bow Down

LOL!  Had to do it.  So yeah, put me down for the TIE Striker and I'll do at least one of the other kits.  Probably the droids.  My son is bugging the heck out of me to do those....so he can have them in his room!  Wink

Eagle90

Hey everyone,

Great builds going on here.  I've already entered 2 (well, my daughter and I) builds for this GB, but I'm knocking the idea around of maybe adding another...or two, or three, or four!  Look what I got the other day.  Whistling.

Do you all think Lord Bish will allow this?  LOL!

O, nice little haul. Wouldlove to see that Striker.

Nice! Bring it!

Thanks!  I think at least 2 of those will be added to the GB.  ;)

Agreed. Those pilots are awful--arms and legs verrrrrrry freakishly long. Why I'm leaving them out (also because I can't paint figures to save my life). :-)

PB, it is really a nice kit. My only complaint was the driver figures but who cares you can't see them when it is closed up.

Gamera, I hate being on vacation with spotty Wi-Fi. I mean how do they expect you to reliably join the forums. I guess you just have to go out and have fun some other way, I am sure you will figure something out.Big Smile

I was able to get some more weathering done in the form of chipping and scratches. I am still doing the spinge technique, will have to try the hairspray sometime soon. Nothing picture worthy yet.

Thanks, guys. Big Smile

Stephan, looking forward to more pics! (anything to convince me that I also need the Bandai AT-ST lol)

Gamera, who cares about wifi, enjoy your vacation! Lucky.

Finished weathering the bottom of the fuselage and primed the cannons and canopy. Home stretch....

BTW: I am on vacation/holiday and the wi-fi at this motel is horrible so I probably won't be on much till next week.

PB, That is coming out great. You got more done this weekend than I did. No time for me at the bench, hopefully I can get some done tonight.

Thanks for looking (just one pic)!

Porkbits, that Speeder looks awesome!  I love the finish on that thing!

Nucmed.....that AT-ST is coming along nicely!  Can't wait to see that thing assembled and standing on a forest base!
