The 2017/ 2018 Too Little Too Late Group Build

Mike. Cockpit looks great. You didn't mention if using enamels or acrylics. Enamels I use Home Depot bought lacquer thinner. Acrylics I use windex. Thorough cleaning unscrew the tip clean out inside. Take needle off and gently wipe down whole thing. Tip of needle is extremely fragile. I have the NEO too.

Okay Guys,  I'm making my 1st attempt to add pics to my work, ME 410. Please adives any ideas/feedback you may have. My first time using an AB on a full build, just picked up an Iwata Neo. Any suggestions on a thorough cleaning method for such?

Mike. Photobucket, Flickr etc....are photo hosting sites. You have to download pics from your camera/phone to these sites then upload them to the FSM site. Some of them are free to use others have a fee

Photobucket is a picture hosting site. There are others such as Flickr, image shack and so on. Unfortunatly you have to register on one of these, load your pics and then you can liunk them on here. Most modelling forums work this way. Its a bit of a hassle, but once you get used to it, its pretty easy.

Dude that's some killer progress on that 162 Matt. I've seen alot of Lufwaffe patterns and schemes but I haven't seen this "git up" yet. I'm really liking this one that's for sure.

Basically you have to copy a [IMG] link from where you host your photos and paste it into the reply here.  I use Photobucket, but it is getting harder and harder to use and is very buggy.  The thread above discusses many different sites as well.

Small update, Primary colors are on now. Will be working on the putty lines next and then gloss coat and the woodgrain decals.

Just joining the site. Since I'm currently in SW Asia, this is one of a couple of projects my wife sent out. Also, it will be an interesting build since I'm sort of 'limited" on the tools and accessories in my current location. :') I also have this one listed with the multi-engine GB, is this a conflict of interest...hmmmmm.

Count me in for a Revell 1/48 ME 410

 

Man you guys are killin it with the 162's. Great work Matt, PJ and Bish!!!

Jack: Man it sounds like the 1/72nd Revell 109's have the same issues as the Hasegawa 1/48 one's do with the spinner too large and the prop too small.

Time to do a little catching up. I have fallen behind a bit but have been able to do quite a bit the last couple of days.

On the resin pit for the Dragon kit, there some nice moulded detail on the side walls which i much prefer to the usual PE levers and such. I have had to thin the fuselage sides to fit the rear and front cockpit bulkheads.

Then with the wheel well fitted it was closed up. Still got a little cleaning up to do and then going to prep and paint the undercarrage doors and wheel bays before fitting wings and tail.

Hopefuly won't be so long until next time.

Is there somthing we don't know about. One of the Brandon's if memory serves, you and now Joe all doing first armour builds.

That 190 is looking good!

Congrats Joe and PJ...that's awesome. Good to see marriages standing the test of time. Especially for someone like me and my wife who will be celebrating only our 4th anniversary this May.

Got a little bit of work done on the 190. Not much progress as this one has been sharing the bench with my first tank build Anyway I've got it all primed and was able to spray the RLM02 (Tamiya) and the RLM04 (MM Enamel). Here are a couple of pics...

MM, that's good to know about the 109 AZ kits - just might add one to the stash. 

As far as Revell's G-10 in 72nd is concerned, I've read a few things are off on that one:

- landing gear stance is a bit wide

- prop too small, spinner too big

Cheers for that info jack, i'll keep that in mind. Quickboost does a spinner for that kit, and the landing gear should be an easy fix.
