Ziggy, no, its a number so people can report suspicious activity or anything terrorist related to the police.
Thats a pity about that material, it looks pretty realistic.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Now that's some flash!
Could you maybe just cut the back off the seat and then sand/file down the bottom and re-cement the back to the smaller seat?
You're probably better off just making a new seat from the material you found though. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Bish, is it a military phone company?
I was coming up with a plan for the pilot seat and found this material that might look like scale wicker. I was not going to use the pilot, so I quite literally used his seat as the seat bottom. Unfortunately, the thickness of the material and the added detail to the cockpit made the seat too wide. I will have to make a smaller one.

Ziggy
Gamera Theuns: That looks fantastic! I love the wood grain finish you've done around the cockpit and the prop! Bish: Looks great too! Fantastic seeing you make such rapid progress on this!

Thanks G, its going quite well.
The Camel looks great, Theuns.

Chad, yes, i have started the weathering which should only take a couple of days. With the figure still to do, i should be done by the end of the week.
Bish, Looks like you're past the halfway point and can start to see the finish line!

On deck: Who knows!
Excellent Theuns!
Thank Ziggy. Decals, the markings that get put on the kit. What do you call those?
Great Job Theuns!
Bish, looking good! I do not understand decals, but you are not yet finished and maybe I missed something on an earlier post.
Theuns, a fine example of the Camel - very well done!
If I followed the chart history correctly over at Scalemates, the kit you used has it origins back to Aurora, a 1956 tooling - so that makes your results that much more impressive.

Got the snatch painted up. Took a few goes until i was happy with the colour. After painted, it got a couple of coats of Alclad aqua gloss.
And then the decals. These went on well, first time i have used AA decals. These were followed by some more Aqua gloss to protect the decals.
Next up some weathering and detail painting.
That looks very nice Theuns, i really like that. Thanks for taking part, will up date the front page.
Here it is, not the best build but the kit it to limited to spen loads of effort on, just wanted to see what it looks like.

Bish thanx for hosting, it was fun
Started coming up with a plan for the magazine holders on the outsides of the cockpit. This pic shows a 1/32 scale cockpit with the holders. The kit only has a holder on one side and no detail showing magazines. I will remove the kit holder and scratch build one for each side.
Yep, that entry is fine Svenne. That is a bad bit of warpage. I think i would go with Joe's suggestion.
I'm going to leave it to Jack, since I'm not that knowlegable about how to deal with this. I'll just say good luck!!!
Svenne, that is a good bit of warpage there. I would correct it after it is fixed solid to the hull, with some gentle finger pressure pushing it past it's proper alignment. I'd be hesitant of trying this with the problem piece on it's own in hot water or via hairdryer, as it could create new bends elsewhere - but if someone has already tried this option successfully, it would be good to hear.
Yes,it is a cool little kit.
Sadly my copy is badly warped...
If it would have been the lower tub I could have glued a rod in place but how do I fix this issue? Will try hot water and a hairdryer any other ideas or suggestions are appreciated!
Maybe I should not be surprised, the box has travelled with me for 8 years.
With regards
Svenne

Est 1961: Very nice start there!
Svenne: Ohh, looks cool!
Hi Bish, The FSM page is playing up on me again so I am posting this one quickly before I lose connectivity. Need to put the Staghound on hold, parts missing and are being replaced. Am I good to go with this one: Would be my first attempt at figure painting in 45 years :) With regards Svenne
Thats a nice start Est, looking forward to seeing more of that.
Theuns, now thats very nice.
Enjoying this build and taking any opportunity in the cold evenings to make advances. This kit comes with a large piece of PE which needs to be used in the construction, it all fits together very well but is time consuming but worth taking the time. " alt="" />
Bish, thanks for the complement! I have to make three gauges for the cockpit, I will show the details when I get to them.
Theuns, how did you do such a great job rigging? Do you use wire, thread or something else?
Oh wow Theuns that rigging looks amazing!!!
I got the modt of the rigging completed and hve glosscoated the whole thing, now waiting for that to cure so I can do the decals and final bit of rigging.
