I have the AFV Club bogie set and a Academy stuart with the 2 sets of tracks so I should be set. I will take the WRONG tracks from the tamiya kit and huck them in the trash... This ought to be a fun little kit to build...

Just to touch base & let you guys know I'm not flaking out or slacking off: just about to finish my 1/72 Lancaster & plan on starting my group build project next week (1/32
Typhoon). Should take me about 3-4 weeks. Later, dudes.

fightnjoe, great progress so far. I broke the shrink-wrap on my P-51B & started getting parts off the sprues & cleaning em up, but I'm way behind you. Are you going to try tin-foil or Bare Metal foil ? Either way, you'll have to be real careful when it comes to painting the Invasion Stripes. Good luck and keep us posted.

The DUKW is back on, I figured out a way I can bypass the scratchbuilding and AM stuff. I am going to do a dio of it approaching the beach! Tongue [:P] All that stuff will be under water. How low were the DUKWS though?

In the D-day issue, the armor kit list, it showed the 2 Shermans, were they supposed to be the same tank or not? It was kind of confusing

Lastly, I (my parents Wink [;)] ) bought Axis & Allies D-day, boy is it cool! The game is amazing!

My previous posted played 2nd fiddle to the coutdown so I'm posting it again Sign - Ditto [#ditto]!

I havent started my build yet but after I get off I will! Anyway what I was doing was playing Axis & Allies D-day with my friend. We are currently at D-day +3!

And thecrowd cheers, He's Made his Decision!!!!!! looking foreward to it.

My research indicated that all of the wacos inmuseumshad nuetral gray, while a black and whit photo showed flat white or gray. not sure.
I will probably paint nutral gray.
This kit sure could use an update though, its from 1976!
Many, things wrong with it, inaccurate cockpit, fit probs during dry fit, and lack of detail.
I am thinking, and probably will scratchbuild the interior of the fueselage and cockpit.

john i wish i could help. cant seem to find anything on it.

btw, been at it for three hours. two subassemblies together. the pit and one of the landing gear bays. dragon makes a good kit. the fit may be in question later but for now it is good.
have to build this pretty quick. i havent used tinfoil for nmf and i want to leave plenty of time to change that if i have to.

i have a question to all the wingy thingers out there, I looked at the directions formy CG-4 Waco, and they said to panit the bottom of the glider glosswhite. Is this correct?
It doesnt seem like it would be.

It's going to be weird to for all the d-day GB members having 2 more pages literally overnight! But just so this does pertain to d-day in some way: does anybody have any relitaves that fought in d-day?
