Naturally, because I brought down another kit... my paint for the CRX came in. I couldn't help but lay it down right away. Im pretty excited on the outcome. Its pretty damn close to oem. Maybe a tad bit more metallic but damn close. Tricky part will be getting all the black trim and window rubber painted black.

Since I am almost done with the CRX, just waiting for paint... Im gonna add another kit to this GB. I still have the Saturn V to finish also, but I am still brainstorming some ideas with the smoke. Ive had this truck since 2014 unfinished so its time..

While sanding some filler this morning I kept looking at this poor Monogram F106.  I guess  thats going to my 1st build here and I'll keep up with my sanding.

On Ed's bench, ???

Chassis is complete. Just the small details now.

Waiting on some paint to come in. Was looking for Honda's Celestial Blue but didnt want to pay for the actual paint. I found a few choices from Mr Color that look pretty darn close so well see. One is a bit too light, the other a bit to dark.

Also masked off hte windows

After almost three months I’m finally able to start back working on some kits.

Painted the Tamiya SU-85 yesterday with my homemade mixture of Russian 4BO Green. Apologies for  the poor backdrop my cat chewed up my usual one still need to purchase a replacement.

I am going to give the model a glosscote tomorrow and then decal and start the detail painting and some weathering.

Also pulled the Meng T-10 off the shelf today and tried to figure out what I still need to do with it. Haven’t worked on it since July and remembered why the plastic is very soft and sands oddly. After going over the instructions I still need to add the tow cables, fuel tanks, AA gun and the thing I’m not looking forward to the tracks.

So I guess we need a badge for this GB. I have a few ideas, but I am not really a digital artist... Any volunteers out there to assist in creating the badge? Whistling

Not sure I can be of any help but what are the ideas?

maybe a guy on a tractor pulling a load of half built kits? Maybe some at the bench with a pile of open kits ...  maybe a guy opening the closet door and getting buried in half built kits?

Well, I corrected and repainted the nose this morning. I'll let the paint cure some before I give it a coat of Tamiya X-22 Gloss Clear. After that, a few decals and on to final assembly.

Nice!! Love those Blue Nose 51's.

a bit more work today. Painted the rear lights on and finished up the chassis. Not gonna lie, the Tamiya smoke color was a pain to apply. I switched from Tamiya thinner to Mr Color, and went with less and less thinner until I got it right. I also think the psi regulator on my compressor may be inaccurate because even though I had it at 18 psi it felt really strong. Lowered it down to 10 and it worked so much better.

Looks like weathering to me. Nice and subtle. Looks great. I always sweat the weathering too. I always figure I'm going to ruin a good build. But it usually comes out okay. I think we're all our worst critics.

Hi Tcoat, I am sorry, I missed your post. I have add you to the roster.  Look forward to seeing your finished Ford Wink

Tcoat
OK I have about 20 but let's start with this one. Ironicly it is from a group build from another forum that just sort of got forgotten. Lindberg 1/32 1940 Ford Convertible

It's a bit small Wink but I will do for now. I have updated the roster.  Ideally, I  would like to have at least images be 640x480 for the roster page.

Sure, when I get home from the office Ill get something posted up.

Good enough? Didnt have much daylight left, and I am terrible at photographing these little things in the dark
