Haha sergei. You clearly have learned nothing from Hunt For Red October. (The book.) ALL ships in the Soviet navy were referred to as "HE".

EDIT: It seems that Roadkill has told you this already though. Whoops.Clown [:o)]

Great work on the 101 cockpits Skarpotchi. That really is inspirational stuff. Makes me want to get out there and build models. Thanks.

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Comrade, In the Soviet navy, all of the ships were known as males. Something to do with the Russian mentality and probably a little chauvinism thrown in to bootBig Smile [:D]. Go ahead and include it if you want, I'll take the earlier date.

Too answer a few questions. I don't think the African nations were too terribly involved with the cold war, but I wouldn't say no to them being included here as the KGB and the CIA fought some very covert actions in and around Africa.

I think the Kustevsov falls just outside of the paremeters of this GB. When was he launched??

Everybodies work is looking good. I have enjoyed all of the pics that have been posted so far. Keep up the good work.

Progress pix of the two F-101's.......
So far the pits are in and the halves are glued together. The seats are next and then the landing gear bays.

The first set of pix are of the Verlinden cockpit set and the last set are of the pit that comes with the kit. Could you have told the differance???

Enjoy.

Would the Kustevsov aircraft carrier count for this GB? Or was that finished a bit too late? - Calvin

It looks soviet. That's probably 'cause it is, right?

Oh, and i have an interresting question. This is a build from the cold war era.is stuff from nonaligned countries (say, Peru or zimbabwe) allowed?

OOPs, err, I was asking about your tank . I mean to ask which one it was, but it came ou wrong. What is the designation of that tank? Maybe i should stop drinking vodka....or maybe i should stop grinding cocaine into my vodka....or maybe i should stop dinking the vodka through a marajuana straw......Dunce [D)]Propeller [8-]Whistling [:-^]

wow. you cover those with foil? I'd end up having it look like a junk heap with a cockpit if I tried that.

Started my foiling the other night and now have both wings covered. Having isses with wrinkling, but hopefully they won't be really noticable.

Hi all,

I've made a little progress on my Lightning, in between other builds. I've removed the blanking pieces for the intake and jet pipes, as these are not set far enough in, and look terrible. I've started some work on the conversion from F6 to F2A.Once I've done this, I'll start the cockpit. It's not really worth a photo yet though.
Cheers

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Good looking builds everyone!
Well, I've got the B-36 started and so far I've got a bunch of sub-assemblies glued together. These are the wings, engine pods, tail planes, bomb bay and all the interior fittings. This thing is going to be ridiculous! I may have to move my hobby shop out into the main living area just so I'll have enough room to work on it.

just about there....... my only issue with it is one side of the tracks has a bit more sag than the other.... just a little more to do, about 95 per cent done.
