Ugggh!! Already got the first half of 2006 booked up for GB's, now we're moving into the second half. Big Smile [:D] As long as 262's and Meteor's etc are allowed I'm interested. I'm not into the prototype thing. Speaking of which I've seen that early prototype of the 262. It just don't look right Disapprove [V] but I guess that's what prototypes are for. We'll see how things go closer to the date.

A Meteor would be perfect, but how about in an IAF scheme, I believe that was thier "First Jet" fighter used. The prototype 262 is one of the ugliest birds I have seen, how they got it to the final beauty is a real testament to German Engineering!

Still no word on the decals but she's all glossed up and ready to go when they do arrive. I'll post as soon as she's done.

Okay, no more excuses so here they are. I kept this build fairly clean, just a bit of a wash on the control surfaces and a bit of pastel shading which hardly shows up at all on the photos. The decals are Super Scale.

Marc, Richard, Rick Thanks guys, sorry for the delay but it was worth it. I shudder to think how those 20 yr old Hasegawa decals would have reacted. Dead [xx(]

Nice work on the Fortress Dave. Way too many GB for 2006. I like the idea of the OOB but I didn't have one to build this last time, next time I think I could find a D.H Vampire for the RCAF. I think Hobbycraft does one in 1:48.

Ya wanna talk about late? ....yeesh....I'd be late to my own funeral Smile [:)]
But better late than never sez I
and here's my entry

This was Gavia's 1/48th La-7. Nice kit. great for super detailers. Only issue is the body is not as wide as it should be. I know this from having to make a new IP (after discovering that the old one has done disappeared) and I was following original drawings.
Thanks  Joe for an interesting GB

As I stated in my other group build. The client has finally agreed to let me travel home on Thursday's and my basement is back to normal so I have started building again. I had an entry into this build (XF5F-1 Skyrocket) and put the decals on it just last weekend. It is just a covering of future away from complete and being hung in my office. I will provide pics first weekend in December since I'm visiting family this week and back in Seattle the following week. Sorry for the delay and late submission. See ya in two weeks.

Excellent build! But Rick, it isn't a lagg, because only Lavochkin designed that one. It's just an La-7. Gorbunov and Goudkov didn't really have anything to do with this one. Sorry, I just felt like nitpicking.Black Eye [B)]

Howdy Fellers!

Sorry for the slow response...been out in the woods...tragic really, a poor unsuspecting Remington "Cor-Lockt" 165 grain 30-06 bullet was travelling along minding it own business when a deer jumped out in front of it (as they are also apt to do with cars, especially brand new expensive ones).  Sadly it did not end well for the bullet or the deer...

On to bigger and better things...The La-7 looks FANTASTIC !  Great Work...

Looking forward to the finished Skyrocket...
