My Spitfire is on the back burner for about a week so I can finish up my Meditteranean Bf109E7 and my P-51D for the Allied Aces build. 

If time allows I may be able to work on the camo a bit later this week.

Tanky I totally sympathize, school is very important and you do what you have to.  As for me I know I will not be finished in 6 weeks either. 

Sorry all, no Bf-110 for this years BoB build...  On the other side I've been having loads of fun being a dad!  So it is all good...

That's OK Jay, being a Dad is a real gooood thing .  At least until it's time to pay for College & Weddings .

I still have to paint the canopy & start putting on the decals.  I'm getting there.  I'll be on vacation next week so hopefully I'll get a day to finish off my Hurricane.

Tom hasn't posted in quite a while.  I recall he said his work schedule had become very hectic.  Haven't seen much from Jules either.

Hey guys, it's good to see that things have been progressing in my absence. 

Karl thanks for noticing that I haven’t been around as well as Tom & Jules .  As for Jules the last time I spoke to him was about 3-4 months ago and he was dealing with some personal issues that have effectively stoped him from being on-line.  Tom I haven’t heard from since his last post.

Rick nice looking work on the 109, did you replace the lid on the storage compartment behind the pilots head with an AM item or is that part of the kit? 

Marc your Hurricane is looking great, is that the Hasegawa kit?

Sean the camo on your 109 looks excellent, I can't wait to see the finished article.

Progress wise I'm afraid my Hurricane has stalled at the moment as my modeling time is extremely limited due to real life work commitments and my interest has been drawn to another project. Still there's a whole month and a bit to go so I might just finish on time, or I might just pick up a Tamiya Spitfire and do it OOB.

Darren Lives there is much rejoycing  Thanks Darren no it's the Airfix 1/72 Hurricane and I added (made to fit) an Eduards pe cockpit.

Here are the pics of the finished build.  This is Hurricane YO*R flown by PO Hartland de Molson on Aug 26th 1940, he would bail out of this aircraft on Sept 15th 1940 over Hornchurch after tangleing with a Me-109

I liked the look of the pristine build so I did not add any weathering.  I may change my mind later however at this stage I'll leave it like that.

Nice schem Ric!   Nice change from the yellows.  Looking forward to seeing some decals on it.

I have started on my Br 20 but the kit is more complicated than I originally thought.  I had to sand out the sink marks in the side windows and canopy masking is going to be tough.  Getting it done on time will be a challenge.  (Why do I always set myself up for this? )

I assume by your avatar text you went to University in East Lansing.  If so this past weekend was tough ...I thought you had them.

Horrid football weekend all around...Penn State lost, Notre Dame wins and the Steelers, well I am still not ready to comment on that debacle!

Done.  Had some minor fit issues-I'll be aware & prepared of them for the next BoB GB.  Glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the sponge camo.  I think I like Sean's sponge better though.
