soon i hope. How about a battle of france GB? I think that might be a cool idea. The first battle of france that is. The one practically without any battles...

Hmmm.. .might be interesting, early 109s, Stukas, a few German bi-planes, Do-17, He111 etc. and some out of the ordinary French planes and some other oddball stuff.  The Battle for France was over so fast though...  Wink [;)] Big Smile [:D]

Speaking of which, my daughter sent me a text message from her French class yesterday stating how bored she was.  I replied to her and said "You're half German, use this time to plot the next conquest of France...."  She thought that was pretty funny Big Smile [:D] (no offense meant to the French, by the way).

Battle of France?  That does sound interesting! Thumbs Up [tup]

Tried looking up a few sites to see what aircraft took part, here is a list of fighters and the link to the article that I got it from.

A BOF GB???????

Must resist.....(resistance is futile)  But it will give me an excuse to build something French.  How about a truffle and a bratwurst dukin' it out for the badge? If it hppenes late next year... I'm in.

yeah definitely. If there's some interest perhaps I could put up a sign up post for opinions on good start/ end dates and who might be interested and so forth.  But what to build what to build...

It's never too late FeldMarSchall!Wink [;)]  I'm sure that with some careful masking you could give that gear door a quick shot without wrecking anything.  I would certainly try.

Well I've just about got it done, I finished all decals today it took forever.  And painted both landing gear doors, and are finishing up painting the canopy.

All thats left is last touchs of the pilot.

Hey there guys,

First of all sorry I haven't been around at all for most of this build but my work commitments late last year just went through the roof. I don’t think I actually sat down at the work bench from about October through till past Christmas.  I am only now just starting to do some modeling again and getting some time to get back on line.

Daniel, (FeldMarSchall Model) nice clean looking 109, you did a really good recovery job on that little oops.

Cheers

Thanks Darson, and now Im finlly done with my Me-109 E3.  One question, what kinda wire or sting do you guys us for the radio line on the back of the aircraft, and how do I put it on?  This is by far the best looking aircraft I've put together to date, and I sprayed some glosscoat on the canopy.

It Looks great FM Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]  For the wire I usually use a sewing thread called invisible thread and paint it black.  Other people have used human hair or fine fishing line.  I attach the thread using CA instant glue and with the invisible thread if you need to tighten the line you can blow out a match and wave it under the line and it will shrink a bit.  Takes practice to do this right without melting the line away but is very effective.  Hope this helps.
