Ooo...  I have some wheel axles from my Br 20 if anyone needs em'.    One should really read the instructions before they start gluing things together.

Yeah, I just discovered that funny little symbol in the Hasegawa instructions means "hole drilled here PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY" after assembly.... anybody need some spare holes...got a whole box full....

Dave, I know exactly what you mean.

I'm building Revell's 1/72 Horton G0 229 at the moment, and having read the instructions, removed the nose wheel mount from the wheel bay. Just like it says to.......

.........only I missed that little question mark symbol!

Turns out you only need to remove it if building it wheels up!  

See, even reading the instructions isn't enough.

Tanky, keep up. I left the IP out remember?

  I feel your pain Karl!  One Day I hope all the stars align and I get to build the perfect model... but with my luck the Cat will knock it off the shelf before I get to take a picture of it!!! 

Knowing my luck, the light from the stars aligning would blind me, and I'd trip a drop it!

Hey, Karl, good job! I know I'll probably never build one that looks half that good, but I'll keep trying! Good choice on the colors, also; I've never seen an "E" with a brown paint job, just the standard grey and/or green. The underside looks especially well-done; too bad it's on the bottom!

And I can't tell you how many models I've accidentally destroyed! Just the other day I accidentally dropped a small, metal C-clamp on my nearly-completed F-18C, and broke both horizontal stabilizers off! Oops!

The camo is RLM 02/71 on the upper surfaces, but it does look rather brown in the pics.

Hope you get your F-18 sorted.

I know this GB has been over for a while, but I finally got one of my Bf109s built, so I figured I would post it anyway. 

This is Tamiya's 1/72 Bf-109E-3.  Not the best build in the world, but at least I finally finished.  My 1/48 Bf-109E-4 just needs weathering and a flat coat.   We'll see how long that takes, lol.

Better late than never Dave .  Nicely done Emil, looks good.

Thanks for the comments guys.  I only have to finish the canopy and make the antennea wire for the 1/48 Bf-109E-4 and I'll post some pictures of that one also.

Better late than never, right?  Well, I got busy and finished the 2nd 109.

This is Tamiya's 1/48 Bf-109E-4.  This was Oberleutnant Werner Machold's aircraft that he flew out of Le Havre, France, around September 1940.  He was the eight german pilot to get 20 air kills during the Battle of Britain.  After accumulating 32 air victories, Machold was captured after damage to his, then, Bf-109E-7 by a British destroyer forced him to land in June 1941.

Better late than never, I finally made an end of it, it's about time.  Anyway, here she is in all her glory.  I used the Hasegawa kit, about 5 different decal sets, eduard PE, resin control surfaces (I think they were CMK, but really can't remember) and some other odds and ends.  My apologies for the photo.  Can't wait for next year, already planning the Stuka.  Unless of course my itch for taking on the 1/48 He 111 gets the best of me, so many little details to add to that baby...
