Lighting and a steady hand is the best key. Try to shoot it with a backround, outside in a shaded area. Or Shoot inside with a backround, with lots of light.

Either way, try to get a tripod.

Anthony14,

I tried you suggestion, but the pics still came out blurry.  I set my tripod up and had 3 light sources on the bird.  I did notice that on the camera screen everything looked good, but when I pressed the button the pic got out of focus.  Either my camera is too sensitive to motion or I need a new one.

The only reason I can think for that is that your pressing down on the button on the camera too hard and it is shaking it.

Other than that, I have no idea what the problem is.

I won't be using PE for my model, with the current builds i want to finish and the fact that after x-mas i'm moving and most likley will be unable to build models for a year. That is if i don't get a good job offer this coming monday (job fair for alberta, canada) in which case i'm gone in 3 weeks tops.

Happy birthday Tony.  I've been following progress every day.
I can't wait to see your bird with the primer paint layer. I always
consider that the 50% completed mark.

By the way, why did you put that mask on the intake? curious.

Thanks rudy and windhawk...

windhawk, I put the FOD cover on the intake for two reasons, first, almost 90% of the time that a F-16 is on the ground there is one on, and secondly, I had to drill stright through the SS intake to fit the Aires wheelbay set in, so if I let it open, you would be able to see it, and there is no way of puttying it.

Ok Guys,

I took some photos over the weekend.  The pictures came out ok, but I have tried everything to get a descent photo.

I started this bird over a year ago, and worked on it for a few days and put it away on the shelf after I got a little frustrated.  That's how it is with all my kits.  I start something then put it away and then start something else.  So now I have about 8 kits in the closet that need to be finished.  I just decided one day that before I start anything else, that I would finish the one's I started.

So here she is.  She straight out of the box. No weathering or accented panel lines.   This is my first model after being out of the sport for several years.  I did the best I could and I think she is my best work yet.  Much thanks to my girlfriend for being patient with me and for all the advice that I received while building her.

Please let me know your thoughts.  I hope you like the pics and I promise to get a new camera soon.

Yeah, way to go Anthony.  That camouflage is nice.

Your progress inspired me to put a couple hours into my project.

FOD cover!  brilliant!   I thought it was a paint mask or something. LOL
That will look sweet.  I've seen a research test video of an F-16 on the
tarmac with the engine running, and it creates a mini tornado that literally
vacuums dirt and debris into the intake.
