IMMMM BAAACCKK. Finally have the camera and computer talking to each other again, sorry TG. Here are a few PROGRESS shots from this weekend. I am having some minor problems with the camera as all the pics look blue for some reason but I will work on that problem later. As a reminder I am building the IL-2 Stormovik single seater on ski's. Sorry for the poor quality pics but it's PROGRESS.

The cockpit has a lot of nice fiddly detail bits and during sanding I must have broken off some small parts never to be seen again.

Looking good, Steve! Nice looking pit, although a bit on the blue side! Smile [:)] Hope you can work out how the camera works!

Cheers,

Great work on that cockpit.  Superb detailing.

Looks like you haven't applied a wash yet.  Correct?
I think it will really come alive when/if you do.
Or maybe it's just not showing in your photos.

Here are some progress pics of the Hawg.  Got the decals on and Sol'd & Set.  After I spray another coat of Future on it, i'll finish the assembly of the gear doors and all the fiddly acruments, I'll throw on some weathering and flat it.  Hopefully be done in a week or 2.  Let me know what ya'll think.

OOOPPPSSS, just a little typo there. Should proof read before posting. You do have to admit it though, miraculas work on the seams and how they turned out.

Well, now I finally got something done. Smile [:)]

The pilot figure ain't the best you've seen, but I like to paint figures so...

I first thought I wouldn't use it, but I think it turned out rather nice, so maybe I'll keep it.

I also put together the engine parts and did a test fit on the fuselage.

I'll do some more painting and finish the IP, then I can start putting the fuselage together.

Cheers,

Azgaron

Hi all sorry I have'nt been around much, I've spent the last 5 weeks fighting bronchitis/pneumonia that's kept me pretty much out of commision.  The only good thing to come out of this is having lost 10 lbs enough about me.

Raptor great work on your 2 buildsThumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup] definitly a speed award for you.

As for the rest of you GREAT progress guysThumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup] can't wait to see more.

As for me not much progress, seats are painted, the fuselage is assembled and i've figured how i'm going to build up the cockpit with the pe set.  That's it for now.

Cheers

Here's an update. I nearly posted a quick line last weekend saying I had made progress but had no photos. Then I realised that was a bad idea after what happened to ...was it Tony? So now I have the camera software installed on my new laptop I can post some pics. When I say 'new' laptop, sadly it is my wifes offcast. I realised that her offcast was better than mine so I nabbed it and have spent about a week getting all the software etc on it.

The He162 is mostly together. It went together really well, but I still managed to mess something up - as it appears I always strive to do. Somehow I think the seat ended up a little further back than it is supposed to be. The panel that fits behind it, now fits slightly over the top of it, so it needed a bit of filler to make it fit properly. Luckily this won't be apparent in the finished model as the canopy will be fitted open. The photos are a bit bright as I used flash and the kit has a coat of white primer, the panel lines have been pre-painted. Since the photos the Hellblau underside has been painted.

Here's a couple of the undercarriage and cockpit. The fuselage is only held together by tape in these.
