Nice work Paul!Thumbs Up [tup] I always liked those He162' s.

I should have some WIP pics of the B-25 up sometime soon. With the amount of microscopic PE in the eduards set, progress is very slow-going. I already fouled up some of the tiny levers, so I had to lay off the PE stuff for a while before I decided to smash the whole thing out of frustration!Big Smile [:D] I think I've calmed down enough to resume the beast!Big Smile [:D] I still haven't decided on markings/color scheme.......any ideas/suggestions? It's a B-25J.

Mark - I am with you on the PE. The PE set for the He162 is all in the cockpit. It seemed to take forever and was so fiddly. I did a bit on each session and once my patience or eyes had had enough I would turn to another kit just for a break. I have a OOB Hobbycraft 1/48 Spitfire that is almost at the same stage as the 162 and that was what I worked on when I was doing the PE cockpit and needed a break. Once the 162 is finished my next kit in this GB is a B5N2 Kate with even more PE!

Paul,

Maybe the figure isn't that bad, but compared to what I've seen from Tamiya and Dragon in 1/35, it isn't good either. But perhaps you can't compare old '70 '80 kit figures with newer 2nd generation figures. Anyway I took a side view to show what I mean.

IMHO the face looks a bit to flat, and the hands looks like the sculptor watched too many cartoons and in the last minute realised that humans do have five fingers Big Smile [:D] You can also see that I, as I didn't intend to use it at first, did kind of a sloppy job preparing the figure, so the seam line shows a bit on the arms and legs. I'll try to correct that!

Your build looks great btw! Nice work!

Cheers,

Azgaron

Hey guys,

Nice work to everyone who has posted their progress.  Exciting stuff.  I have made some progress on the Gneisenau - I have basically assembled all the major components and given them a base coat of black (why black?  I had a rattle can left over that I am trying to get rid of).  Next I will give them their appropriate base colors and begin to put this puppy together.  Here are a couple of shots before everything went in for paint.  You can see that I had already painted the deck, but was dissatisfied, so decided to start from scratch.

HAHA, Maybe not this time, you don't know how slow I build! Even a 1/700 Hood is months of work because I have so many builds going, I don't get any finished!

Awesome stuff guys.

I love the Tempest.  It's cool to see how the engine supercharger setup fits in there.  The A-10 is sweet: I've never seen one with that scheme on it.  I see them almost once a week as they fly out of the airbase near my house (Hill AFB).

Keep it coming, fellas.

Great work everybody.  I like seeing all the progress.  I really cool to see everyones models in progress.  And in the spirit of that... I thought I would post some pics of all my sub assemblies.  I tend to build and build the sub assemblies until I put all the big chunks together.

The guns on this boat are really great.

Sorry about the focus.  My camera couldn't make up it's mind.

Not sure I'm happy with the light grey on these cable connectors.

Wow, Those guns do look great Paul. Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]  They look like they are a model all by themselves.  Great work!!!

Bear sorry to hear you were sick for so long but glad you are back on your feet.  By the way, whats up with the Habs and Huet?  Lots of people are shaken their heads over that deal.  I wish the Canucks would have made a deal for some more scoring up front. Sigh [sigh]

Paul, Az, Boyd... Great work everyone.

I should have my other build finished in the next week or so and then it will be full steam ahead on the raiders wing thingy.

1000 posts! That's great!

Here's how the IP turned out! The camera is a bit revealing though! Smile [:)]

Now with the IP, engine and cockpit done, I can start closing the fuselage!

RMV great progressThumbs Up [tup]

Dave  Thanks I'm glad to be operational again. As for the Habs I'm also greatly confused, Huet going is one thing but for a 2009 2nd round pickCensored [censored] your right the nucks didnt do much either.  I'll be happy if the Rangers make the playoffs though (my second fav team).  Looking fwd to seeing more of your wingy thingy.

Cheers

Thanks Paul and Marc!

Yes it's a decal. If I had given it some more thought before I started doing the rims, then I should done sligthly different, like doing the rims first and cutting out the instruments. Now it doesn't look so flat anymore, and I think it improved a lot, if I may say so myself! Smile [:)]

Here's a couple of update pics. Got the dunkelgrun on earlier this week. Started adding the small patches of colour on the engine cowling since the photos. The Eduard canopy mask finally turned up yesterday so I can mess that up soon...I mean paint it to the highest standards of course. Cool [8D] I've got some resin wheels for it as well. The ones in the box have no tread and are not 'weighted'. The resin ones are much nicer- just got to drill the centre holes.
