Sign - Ditto [#ditto] You know it Rand! Going to be a good one. Wink [;)] No problem with the KT Porsche!

One clarification was pointed out to me by "someone" Big Smile [:D] - there can be large differences between "winter camo" and "winterized" - especially in U.S. A/C... We're definitely going for winter camoflage as the requirement for the build. Adjust accordingly.

Remember, the badge can be displayed only upon completion of your build.

Sure am, Ben! No matter how many times I see that scene it makes me laugh! I figure between the sig and my avatar (no vette for you!) people will realize I like to smile and laugh, and not take me too seriously!

Lots of high caliber builders here, Dupes, this is gonna be embarrassingBig Smile [:D] Glad to see so many signed up already.

Alright Dupes! This is going to be good. Thanks Hermesminiatures for the badges, great stuff.

Got 2 options, I can't do the T34/76 cause I've started it, my wife started the T34/85.... So, Tiger I (late) or Hummel (initial version)????? Tiger is the Tamiya kit, Hummel is the Dragon. Input please Dupes.

I don't even know for sure if the Tiger I, being the late version, would be in winter camo.

No doubt though, sign me up!

Alrighty, Dupes! Those badges are fantastic Hermes! Great work both of you. I'll probably go with my DML Porsche Kingtiger, since I only have that and an Elephant! If I find something else I'll let you know, but for now the Tiger. Boring for you guys, but my first tiger!

Funny you should mention that!  Evidently my keystrokes wrote a check bigger than my *** can cash.  I would like to change my to the Academy 1/72 ME-109e 3/4 but I'm trying to find winter camouflage that is accurate.  So in short I'm in the build but maybe changing my kit around Christmas

Here's a completed build from Military Modeling magazine with that camo sceme....it is pretty cool!

MG42 - I had to google your build. Never heard of it before. Heh.

chef_ben - good to see some more A/C guys! Interested in seeing a P-51 winterized...can't say I remember seeing pics of that anywhere. What theater of ops was that used in?

I'm thinking a StuG IV or the British Panther Cuckoo in its winter sceme...one of the two.

After polling the Armor and A/C forums we have more than enough interest to get this build rolling! So, without further ado -

WINTER WARRIORS Group Build, Winter 2008

Very simple rules for this build -  any vehicle, any era, any scale, any aftermarket.

The main requirement - MUST be done in a winter camo scheme!

Kit must be unstarted...unless pre-approval is given.

Running dates are from January 1st, 2008 to May 1st, 2008...right about when the snow is gone. Big Smile [:D]

Two GB badges available courtesy of HermesminiaturesThumbs Up [tup], one for armor builds, and one for a/c builds. They're dead sexy, and are here now! Badges claimable only on completion of your kit. Copy and host them as usual.
