It's the same YF but with the prototype markings, correct?

I've been using the Bucket for well over two years and once in a while these issuses do come up. I just had this problem on July 3rd. Photos showed on site as being removed by the Bucket then about 5 hours later the pics were back.

My observation is that P/B isn't so much hacked as that you have to set up your account to NOT allow public access, and take steps to rename your images so that your username/password isn't obvious if someone "rightclicks" on your posted image.

It is a YF-16, but not the one in your pic.  The one in your pic is 01568 which was the second prototype.  The one I'm building is 01567, which is a modification of prototype #1.  According to F16.net, the CCV's (Control Configured Vehicles) had independent or decoupled flight controls.  This made it possible to maneuver in one plane without movement in another ie the ability to turn without banking.  The CCV flew 87 times and logged 125 hrs in the air.

Got my XP-56 yesterday.  Looks like a neat kit.  Shouldn't be too difficult to put together - except having to wait 2 1/2 months to start Laugh [(-D]

I know it seems like a long wait but I wanted to garner some interest in this build and get as many people on board as possible. I'm hoping we can get at least 5 or 6 more people interested in this build. As it stands we have some interesting kits lined up. This should be a FUN build! I cant wait to see some of these planes... Thumbs Up [tup]

I am also building a czech kit. They do seem pretty user friendly. Theres not much to these kits. I just hope the fit is good.

Spiralcity,

Could you add the X-29 by Hasegawa in 1/72?  I meant to build it rather than the YF-16 by Revell, but since it's up there leave it.  Now, to find some numbers to correct the markings.

Lewbud,

You want a total of three planes for this build?

I added the X-29, I can remove YF-16 CCV if you would like.

Well, spiral, I'll fly in too.  My build is all set up.  Believe me, I can multi-task! I go to a project based school! Thanks for the help with the badge, BTW! It turned out great!

Hi Red,

I'm glad you like the badge, it was fun making it.

I'll add you to the list. Just tell me what you'll be building . I need the kit maker and model.

I'll try my best to get onboard the Fantasy Flier build. Latley I havent had much time for any kind of bench work. All my time is spent at work or making the wife and kid happy. It's been a very busy summer so far.

I'm in with my 'Seiran', but have a question?Whistling [:-^]

Has anyone heard of a German Naval version of the Ju-87, 'Stuka'?

According to inof, it would be launched from a German carrier and had detachable landing gear in case of a water landing!Oops [oops]

The carrier was never finished and the prototypes were retunred to service.

I've researched Google, Jane's and GB of Fighters and can't find a ref.Banged Head [banghead]

Any comments?Whistling [:-^]

Unfortunately I only own two books covering the Stukas and neither have information regarding the project you mentioned. I can look around a bit if you'd like.

Yeah, I've heard of that project.  He's genuine, don't worry.

Spiral:  I'm going to be doing the Revell F-106 (prototype).

didfal,

I happened upon this build by chance, and I can at least offer you a little information.  In my softcover book The German Aircraft Carrier Graf Zeppelin by Siegfried Breyer (Schiffer Publishing) the Ju-87C was planned to serve aboard the carrier and had folding wings and a landing hook.  Page 23 of the aforementioned book has photos of the real plane.  There was also a plan to adapt a Bf-109E for carrier use, and designate it Bf-109T.  Although the book states that this plane was adapted for use, there are no photos of it included.

spiralcity,

As I mentioned in the previous posting, I happened along this while checking in on my other groups, and would like to join, if you will have me.  Although you have an October 1 start date, I have already started building a 1/48 Northrop N-1M "Jeep" by Sword.  I needed something easy after building an old MPC kit for a friend at work.  Anyway, I am only a week into it, but I have the cockpit finished and the wing halves glued together.  It may sound pretty far along, but the wing leading edge is going to take a lot of work to look presentable.  I am also restraining myself and making this a strictly "out of box" build.  Let me know if I can join, and I will get some photos posted.  Also, with your start and finish dates, I may be able to find some time for an additional entry later on (maybe the N-9M).

Sure, you can jump in but please dont start posting anything until October. Try not to do any more work on your kit until we kick this build off. Thumbs Up [tup]

I will add you to the board.

If anyone still looking for a kit, a handful of Czech kits are on sale in this months' Squadron sale flier, about half price.

Spiralcity,

Thanks for letting me in!  I will back off on my build, and will wait until October 1 to post photos of my project.  It might take me that long to fix the leading edge anyway. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]
