Prototype GB All Era's

Welcome to the Prototype GB.

This GB is scheduled for October, 1 2008 and will run until the ???????.

Everyone is welcome!

This build is dedicated to all prototype aircraft from any era that actually logged at least a few minutes of flight time. No what-if's.

For those of you who may feel it will be hard to find a kit of this nature I will suggest looking into Czech Models, they have released all kinds of prototype planes over the years.

A short list of rules:

1. As mentioned above, no what-if's.

2. No group crossovers.

3. Building must not start until October,1 2008

4. You must enter this build with an unstarted kit

Thats it..

All aftermarket goodies are excepted.

Please post all works in progress and of course the finished product. [tup]

I'm in, might be a while before I can start. Put me down for the YF-16 by Revell and the YF-16 CCV by Hasegawa. In the divine scale of course.

What is 1/48? You mean there is a scale other than 1/72?

I think I'll get in with a czech models 1/48 Northrop XP-56 Black Bullet. It looks like a neat little bird and it'll be a little variation from my usual stuff.

Red13Bar is trying to get some intrest into a build that is similar to this. So I felt that no crossovers had to be stated.

Jump in when your ready. This build wont kick-off until October.

That Shinden footage was EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting it. Thats a great looking plane. I cant wait to see yours assembled.

I was going to build the XP-77 but Viper wants to build that kit also so I decided to change my build to a XF2R-1 Dark Shark US Navy Turboprop.

I want to see as many strange planes here as possible...

Bondoman,

You dont have to wear the badge. It's not required for the build. It's their for anyone who may want to use it.

Photobucket has a tendency to remove photos that are borrowed from other sites. I want to see how long the previous images last.

I will post a photo here hosted by villagephotos.

Let's see which photo hoster is better.

In all actuality, it may be the site that your borrowing the photo from that is removing the photo (well, actually changing the linked URL). Website owners have the ability to see who is hotlinking their photos and can simply make a slight change the to the URL and make your picture go bye-bye.

The best thing to do is to save the picture to your harddrive and then upload it to photobucket. Unless it's an obviously trademarked photo, I doubt photobucket even cares.

I'm not sure what goes on at photobucket, but images are removed quite often. Latley pics have been disappearing then reappearing. i dont have these problems at The Village. I want to see what happens over the next week with this new set of borrowed images.

I heard photobucket was hacked. Perhaps this is causing some of the problems I've been experiencing lately.
