Tony, the stuff on the shelf is outstanding. I love the wood crates.... especially the wood finish inside with a slight overspray on the lid. Impressive.

As for the aiming stakes, the could be right, Bill is the Germaholic man!! As I said, no matter what it looks great

Very nice....looks well beat up.....I persume the "aiming stakes" on the back are not the "ramming staffs" you mention.

The aiming stakes give a nice contrast....I am not sure if the "candy cane" pattern the US uses is the same for the German's. I am sure our resident Germaholic Bill can comment. Then again who cares.....it looks good.

Makes sense Tony, thanks for the additional info. Seeing the gun in place with the color contrast is pretty cool. Also like what you've done with the wear and the jerry can at the rear is a nice touch as well. Yes

Bill there's a two piece ram rod in the kit.

No damage to the paint I took it slow and easy to get the filter off Carl.

Today I put a few nicks, chips and scratches on her and did a pin wash.

Hope you approve

Looking good Tony! Getting closer with each update. Yes

Quick question, are you sure the poles on the rear are ranging poles and not the barrel cleaning rods? I ask because the Marder III mounted similar poles (and the same gun albeit modified) but those were cleaning rods with the "pointed" end being where the swab/sponge/brush was attached to clean out the barrel. It's always been my understanding that the "Diana" mount was an AT platform and didn't use the captured Russian gun in an indirect artillery fire role but I could be mistaken.

Howdy and Sorry about being late with an update but due to my ignorance I almost ruined the body paint job.

With the help of some friends, the idea of "Where there's a will there's a way" and a large bottle of White Spirits I was able to rectify a bad situation. Here she is as of today.

She's back on track again and it's full speed ahead.

Thanks for coming by to take a look see
