Brain storm here , do you suppose the two lines carry warm exhaust air thru the base of the carb for those cold winters ? Kinda makes since . I think the hole on the side of the carb is where the fuel line will be attached . Hmmmmmm ...............
Correct again that is a small air compressor on top.
You know everything I know except for what the heck that pot is.

Air Force for eight years, instructor for three of those.
Thanks again .
Air Force instructor , i can imagine the stories
Forgetting about that pot for awhile it was time for some more painting today.
I told you that the RAL 7027 Sandgrau was really a pale green.
Painted the components on the firewall and base colored the spare track links.
I even had time to work on the cab. The instruments are just blank holes except for the clock and you don't even get any decals for them with the kit. Luckily I had another half track in the stash that had the needed decals so I put them to good use.
That's it for now folks so until later just remember "IT's FRIDAY"
Wait a minute...your retarded....I mean retired .....every day is Friday for you!! ..

Sounds like a tight schedule Tony .................
Howdy and Sorry about being late with an update but due to my ignorance I almost ruined the body paint job.
With the help of some friends, the idea of "Where there's a will there's a way" and a large bottle of White Spirits I was able to rectify a bad situation. Here she is as of today.
She's back on track again and it's full speed ahead.
Thanks for coming by to take a look see
Looking good Tony! Getting closer with each update.
Quick question, are you sure the poles on the rear are ranging poles and not the barrel cleaning rods? I ask because the Marder III mounted similar poles (and the same gun albeit modified) but those were cleaning rods with the "pointed" end being where the swab/sponge/brush was attached to clean out the barrel. It's always been my understanding that the "Diana" mount was an AT platform and didn't use the captured Russian gun in an indirect artillery fire role but I could be mistaken.
Looking really great Tony. It sure is getting there!
Tony , looks like no seriouse damage was done to the paint . At least it doesnt show up in the pics but thats seldom shows what the eye can see with model in hand .
Bill there's a two piece ram rod in the kit.
No damage to the paint I took it slow and easy to get the filter off Carl.
Today I put a few nicks, chips and scratches on her and did a pin wash.
Hope you approve
Makes sense Tony, thanks for the additional info. Seeing the gun in place with the color contrast is pretty cool. Also like what you've done with the wear and the jerry can at the rear is a nice touch as well.
