I originally posted this in the aircraft forum but as Jeeves was nice enough to point out this is where Id get the help...

" ok Jeeves... was hoping you could point me in the direction of someone that can give me some advice. I just bought a Bradley M3 for this build but after looking at it I think I bought an RC Model???
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5903536190&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
the reason I ask is because it mentions "2 channel RE-14 Motor'??
did I just bite off more than I can chew? get ripped off?
If you know someone that can give me some advice about this Id be grateful

I decided to go with this and get in the "full spirit" of the build rather than play in the grey area of wheeled vehicles"

Joe from what I see it is a great kit in box. I have both tamiyas and dragons. You get more bang fo ryour buck with the dragon king tiger, the tamiya fits together great.
I havent started on dragons yet so cant say much. Also the dragon has PE grills where the tamiya you need to buy them seperate adding 10$ to the total.

I think I'll have to bail on this GB. I just built my revell germany 1:72 red barron fokker triplane and that was the last of my unbuilt plane models. I've got a lot on my plate right now, I think I'll have to bail, but I might try to come back in later... Sorry, good luck everyone!

Joe, in response to Rick's comments, building indy tracks is one of the reasons we have wingy-thingies builders.

A/C GUYS: DON'T READ THIS!

Fellow Armor dudes,
Ya know they're calling this the 'Backwards build' in Aircraft? LOL.
When I opened the Me109 box, I felt like the guy in 'Holy Grail' who stood up before the monster and said, 'Rabbit stew tonight!', I better not end up yelling 'Run Away!'
Joe tipped me off that this kit has it's problems. How hard can it be? Some PE, a coupla' flattened resin wheels, a prop? Right? Right? Gasp.

From what I've seen in the box it looks nice with PE grilles and other pieces. Someone was building one recently and he never responded to how he liked the build so far. I'm getting the Henschel version shortly.

JEEZ! This is turning into SBD GB! SBD standing for Slow But Bad. Just kidding, the SBD was a great a/c that more than proved itself in the heat of combat. I'm doing a P-47. Staying close to my armor roots (can't have an a/c do better than armor, that's not realistic), I am crash landing it! Big Smile [:D]

So is there a date set on this yet? Did not knw if I had overlooked it somewhere along the line. Guess I should start searching for paint for it since I can almost bet I don't have the right colors in my stockpile.

Nope. Not gonna' do it! Not gonna' post any Dauntless links! Not gonna' make you buy any PE, or resin, or anything. However...you can go do a search on 1/48 Dauntless at Great Models and see what they have for yourself!! Mwaaa Haaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaa

Thanks guys. Having This in mind I will go get started next week on this...already in 2 builds and not slowin down a bit. I can live with a little inaccuracy as I dont know what is accurate on a tiger (or in), so on this particular build it will be ok. This is not saying I am coming to the darkside, but the Tiger is cool....looks even better when a P-47 has punched it full of holes Approve [^].

Who do the treadheads call when it gets rough.... Wingy thingies, thats who!!!

ATTENTION

I am going to be leaving for a week on saturday for a Boy SCout leadership training in the middle of no where. This means no models or forum. Could one of you just give em an update on what is happening when i get back because this thread is jsut exploding, there would be too much to read. Remember email me or jeeves on your builds. And please put a subject so i dont delete you with my junk mail.

Until we meet again
IF you can't beat them then they are not tied down properly

I was thinking about building a Larry Storch.

Who says I'm dumb?

Bill,
I'll look for this wing, ya got me going on the Dauntless. I'm a little suspicious though, I know you're going to produce a link that will cause me to buy some PE or another kit or something.Wink [;)]

Yeah Woodbeck3, if you don't want to go aftermarket, but still want interior detail and indy tracks you should go for the Academy model. But beware, the interior is not 100% correct, you can either accept that or try to correct it. Also the track links have some pin marks. Other than that its a great kit.

hmm, I now have the 1/32 F/A-18 C from Academy in front of me, and a set of TwoBobs decals, so im ready. Let us hope I don't screw this one up.

ok 1:35 it is. Ok "treadheads" Tiger me up. Ease of build but detail too...I need something to drybrush or I have modelling convulsions. realistic and accurate...I dont care if I am putting individual links together for the tracks, sounds fun to me. I made 1:48 .50 cal ammo belts before how hard can a tank tread be? I want inside and out detail, dont wanna have to get PE exact for this one, but something for me to apprecaite. You all have something in mind for me???
