I did that already..... Took my wife two days to get me off the celing ......smacking me with a broom. I sold it to Evil Kinevel. He used it to jump the Snake river.... didn't work out well for him either ...

Lol. Good one. Well, I have some pizza rolls in the oven with my name on it. I can make extra. Have your alien friends transport you over. Just don't forget to bring the rum.

Sure! After a long night of mutilating cows, making crop circles, and probing unfortunate souls you probably work up quite an appetite!!!

Lol. That's a good one. This is probably a good time to tell Timmy this. If he shows up at my house with those bug eyed demons, he better leave them outside. I don't care for them much. If I ever see one, they are gonna wish they never met me. I will go spider MONKEY on them. Just saying. So... leave the aliens outside.

PizzaBeer Cheers.

The forum logged me off

I'm glad I've missed out on these shenanigans.

Although, I was logged off the whole furum today.  Which, sadly seems middling normal.  I get logged off either after two days or after 10-11, with neither rhyme nor reason.

Sigh.

Uhm, er, were our Timmy to show up at your doorstep, he'd be a non-immigrant alien.

At least under US law, that is.

Extra-terrestrials would have to make appropriate visa arrangements.  (Which is probably what all the crop circles are about.)

Hmm, I wonder if Immigration Services has an official opinion on extra-tempora visitors, human or otherwise . . .

Hey Gam- because I like to do things the hard way.

I was distorting the truth. I really don't like to do things the hard way. I am always looking for a better and easier way. I had an epiphany. If I could straighten the piece with heat, why can't I do the same to deal with the gap?

I followed the same process. This time though, I pulled on the piece to stretch it. The results were not immediate. But--with several tries I was able to get some results. I started with a gap of over 1/32, I ended with a gap of less than 1/64. That, and with some strategic sanding that equalized the gap all around the piece--I am at a point that I can call it good. Gamera's putty suggestion will follow. But, I need to shim it up first. It is sitting too low.

Overall, there is a ton of bodywork to do on this monkey ride.

Gee Mr. Wizard, Maybe he could try that heat thing again only pull it out thiker-er and thicker-er, until it fits real good

No, Little Timmery, It won’t, because the thermodynamics of the ionosphere  will cause the molecular resistance to multiply, by 7 R squared

Yeao, I'd be afraid to try to stretch a part with heat but your results look perfect! Most Tamiya kits don't fit that well!

Thanks Gamera. I'd be fibbing to say I wasn't worried. I figured that the goal line didn't have that far to move. If I was careful, I might be ok. I was most worried of overheating the piece. I had to heat it longer to make it more pliable. I had visions of seeing it flop over and drip onto the stove. It was a guessing game. Thank goodness it worked. Phew.

Btw. My thumbs are sore today from pulling on the piece. Or maybe ET is pissed about my spider monkey threat and they did some weird thumb exam. Could be that too.

Surprise

So do most of the roofers chasing around after the last hailstorm we had here a couple weeks' ago.  Sigh.

Would rather have apes on the neighbor's roofs--less noisy if nothing else.  (Here, if you put our sign in your yard, we'll pay you to advertise, exactly tyhe same amount as your insurance deductible [wink, wink, nudge, nudge] <eyeroll>)

Lol! With hair like that, trouble follows. "You have to pick."

Very good about the movie. I really like that movie. Heck, kind of takes place in your neck of the woods along the US Mexico border.

Yeah all those views and what do I have to show? Some seats, and a corrugated cover.

And no. We are a long way from being there yet. I told ya. You should have entered the cryo chamber. Yeah yeah, I know. You don't want to end up like what's her face. Lol
