That thing pre or post shaded?

Post-shaded Hercmech. The aerodynamic dimples (like on a golf ball) were also experimental at the time, and applied one at a time before painting, what a pain. That's what has taken me so long!

Canopy on backwards... I knew I should have used pencil instead of pen. Bang Head

Dimples huh? Now you can call me impressed. Just be careful that the "dimple counters" don't look, I think your left wing is missing a couple.

Actually, there are the correct amount on the left wing... it's the fact that the left wing is, uhhh, larger than the right makes it look like there aren't enough dimples! And yes, it does act as airborne zimmeritt, lessening the impact of bullets & reducing the chance of getting hit by a rocket!

Great job Vance. Nicely executed build there - you definately earned your badge.

Don't you mean peeling back... oh wait, wooden exterior, it could very well be peeling bark. That is due to the lack of non-slip yellow.

It was actually a lack of inventory control in the sap supply that doomed the He162. I hear they tried maple sap first, but the labourers kept boiling it down into syrup & drizzling it over their daily allotment of cat.

Hmmm. Funny, we've just started collecting sap for this years syrup supply. Have never tried it on cat... maybe I should give it a go...? Though, I've gotta admit, I'm more of a blueberry pancake man m'self....

Maybe so, but even at that it will be more detailed than Vance's cocktail napkin...

Paper napkin??? Awwwwww, who told?
This is the compact, lightweight version wearing a Northern Hemisphere "ghost" camo pattern. In the absence of aircraft carriers or suitable land bases, these were to be unfolded and deployed from u-boats. The specialised pattern is very hard to see if you are suffering from snow-blindness...

What can I say, I had to distract the inspectors with some tangible progress, just like the phoney US Army unit that was created prior to the Normandy landings.  This, I can crumple up into a ball & let the cats/spies bat it around the floor, keeps them occupied for hours!

ooo - a cat!!
