I did take some wip pics, but failed to bring the camera to work with me..

Sorry to be out of it for a while, this stupid work thing wrecks my day!!!!!!!!!  I had the weekend off, by the time I did work for my mother, and took my nephews to see Tron, the weekend was over!! Now no more time off till next week!! I hope to do some building now before I head into the miserable dump for another grind. I will have 23 years with this mob on the 27th of January, man I should sue them for employing me in the first placeSuper Angry

WOW - super-wormy camoflage - there's a splinter pattern underneath that right?  Not a chance I could get my airbrush dialed in to something like that! Indifferent

Excellent article on the Fw 189 Uhu ("Owl")

I see your point Manny, here are the pictures:

Manstein's revenge

As punishment you have two choices: To be sent to the Eastern front as a common landser with a jager battalion in the Central Sector, OR, you must keep that "Lurker" badge as part of your sig line until your 229 is completed, at which time you can substitute the GB Badge for it...

I'll take the black mark sir, if I go to the eastern front I'll never get a chance to finish the kits I have on the bench...

LOL.  Now THAT'S funny!  I love the monacle and bowler hat.  And the raised pinky is a nice touch.

OK, apparently I need to provide Manny with a badge to pin on my a$$ for not posting any Ho229 pics post-weekend. Good news - got some freelance graphics work this weekend... bad news, the only model I touched was the P-38, trying to add interior detail so I can drop the flaps & reposition the ailerons. So, with that feeble excuse thrown out there, I humbly submit to you....

I hope Jeff approves, I'll be sending him a $229 invoice for the work...

...but the Censored canopy has vanished from the box...

Maybe that's part of the Horten Bro's unintentional "stealth factor"...

My Ho is almost complete but the Censored canopy has vanished from the box. Afraid work will once again be halted till the blasted thing shows up again ... shhhhhhheeeeeeesssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh.....................

Yes I can post the Owl yet it would require taking a picture of the magazine to do so... Not sure if that is allowed due to copy rights etc. If posted 'for discussion purposes only'?? I did do so for a chap looking for space shuttle reference photographs a while back without ruffling feathers. Hmm Will see later on today ok?

Time passes...

I have always thought a night fighter camouflage scheme over European splinter looked very cool. Like the one on a Owl observation aircraft in the 'Build Better Models' special issue this year in FSM.

I'd like to see that Owl---can you post it???

It falls under "Luftwaffe Special Projects". It will be built up to look exactly like an American nightfighter, but is in fact meant to be used to house a pair of very small fallschirmjagers in phoney drop tanks, to be dropped behind Allied lines. But, like I said, it will still look like an American a/c... Whistling
