Next then here the instruments  are added to the shelf. I actually replaced 2 gauges with items closer fitting the original types equipment.

I am callingh this one done.  This build went infinately better than the 1st one back in KOTS I.  A couple of rigging mistake on my part that mucked up a cople of the struts right at the wing but not that noticable. I know it's there so it pisses me off a bit.  But I sure am likingthe WWI stuff so you will probaly see more of me in the A/C forum inthe future.

Hey Marc I remember you were surprised over the mention of a 144 scale Camel.  Here could be your next build!

Remember the Karaya Hispano - Suiza 300hp?  Well its now a 220hp Hisso. Almost.  I lost one of the "induction pipes" So I fitted a brass one. Just to see if your paying attention what is wrong with the fixtures so far (for a 220hp.)

For the Karaya engine review Click Here.

Also dear folks I have added images to the review not seen elswhere.

See here.

The French 5 colour Camouflage is applied.  This profile will represent parts from 2 different Manufacturer applications.  The top wing is from the Bernard Co.. The fuselage and lower wing is from the parent company S.P.A.D. Co.

You're really cruising with this build Stephen.  What colors/brand did you use for the camo on this Spad?

But this round I used the Misterkit acrylics.  I must say they are aces and some of the best applying acrylics I have ever used.

Hey Stephen, Great looking SPADXIII. This would make a nice adversary/companion to the Fokker DVII. The decal work with the spider looks great, very well done. Bow [bow]

Hey Stephen, a suggestion on the DH2, a suggestion I wished I'd followed. Replace the kit provided elevator bracing with brass. The plastic warps badly over time. Just a heads up. I've condsidered replacing them and rerigging the tail section on the Airco I built a couple of months ago.

Good call Mobious.  I did that with the first one I built several years back.

Frank, the word is Eduard 8094 Profipack . . . If you are going to be a bear be a Grizzly.

Here is the start.  WARNING!!  For the squeamish - there will be PE.

Frank and all,

In catdching up this evening, I came to realize that it has been over a month since my last update.  I took a new position at work, and where I used to spend some of my non-paid lunch time updating here, I now typically find myself working through.  I did manage to take some time off to attend the IPMS Nationals last month, and have been preparing for my last BIG ride of the year next weekend.

Enough about me, here are the photos of the now completed Eduard 1/48 Fokker E.V Weekend Edition (kit 8480).  I did manage to shoot the cockpit before installing it...

As always, I am open to any and all questions and comments.

For my next trick... I will be building a 1/72 (yes 1/72) Eduard SPAD 13 late version, kit 7053.  I will have this one wrapped up by the end of this group build, and will hopefully do some updates along the way.  I did airbrush the interior and apply oil paint to simulate the wood in the interior so far.

Stephen- Looking very good, sure is a lot of masking for that prop but definately worth it.  I se the starboard uppper wing is bare bones, is this one going to have cut away areas to see the insides?

Thank you Guy and Frank.  Yes I plan to do a bit of a cutaway for this build.  The express masks made the prop easy and was done in about 50 minutes.
