My pleasure Mo, wouldn't have been the same without your incredible builds here.  I am really looking forward to seeing you work your magic on a Schwalbe! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Stephen- I am quite relieved to hear that things are looking up for your family.   Hope things continue to improve for everyone.  Great advice at the end of your post, I shall remember those words. Approve [^]

Stephen, my prayers are with you and your family, my friend. As Frank said, I second your final statement. I lost my younger brother, Danny. To this day i still struggle to remember my last words to him. It upsets me when i see family falling out with family. Life is too short and you never know whats round the corner.

Frank, Great GB. I really loved it. Also watching all the other great builds coming together. A real learning experience.

Cheers mate,

Guy- Very sorry to hear about your younger brother, I did not know about that.  I cannot even imagine losing my little brother.

Gentlemen, It has truly been an honor hosting this group build and watching you progress through your builds.  Thank you for making this what it is.  I am really looking forward to postng the photos over in aircraft, to show everyone what you have done.  I salute you all! Approve [^]

Frank,

Once again, I have been away for too long, and am now a day late with this.  Lots of life evnets taking place lately, most good, but some not so good.  Anyway, I did wrap up the Eduard SPAD S.XIII today.  Here are the completed photos for all to enjoy.  Creidt me or not, your KOTS Group Builds have been a lot of fun, and I hope that you consider doing another one as I am about to start an Eduard 1/48 Albatros D.V.

This build reminded me of why I prefer 1/48 for WWI kits. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Excellent work there Scott!  If I hadn't seen the photos of the bits parked next to a quarter, I would have sworn that was 1/48 scale.  Glad to add this one to page 1, and to the aircraft post! Approve [^]

Frank, I admit, I've been slacking. I've had so many things to do in school, building a sherman and now my figures obsession has put AC on the back burner. Looking at that sopwith, I can't handle putting it with that beautiful Fokker. Thus, I'm going to Complete the Fokker Dr. 1 probably within 2 weeks, but my goal is next weekend. I havn't had much time to airbrush, another setback. Thus, I'll put it on a brass rod, still an in-flight display, but no sopwith. I am sorry for not being around, but I'll do my best to get Richtoffen flying!

Brad- That is a stunning example of the SE5, simply gorgeous!  Your painting style and weathering are exemplary, can't really think of any other way to describe it.  Beautiful work! Approve [^]

I went ahead and added this one to the finished list on page 1, and shall add it to the gallery of finished models over in the aircraft forum.  Thanks again Brad!

Scotty, Great looking build, I thought it was the bigger Eduard offering too. Very nice work in the small scale.Thumbs Up [tup]

Brad, That has to be one of the finest examples of craftsmanship. Truely a stunning work, and on such a beautiful aircraft too. Thanks for posting Thumbs Up [tup]

Frank and Mobious,

Thanks for the comments.Big Smile [:D]  I still want to do some weathering, but I have a couple of reviews that need to get finished in the short term.

Brad,

That is some very fine work indeed! Thumbs Up [tup]

Frank,

Any thoughts about a KOTS III?

Frank, is there going to be another Knights of the air GB? Mate and I are rearing each other about our 1/72 Camels we have and I told him bout this GB. Didn't realize it was finished now.Sigh [sigh]

Frank, I really love to finish my Fokker, but now mom got really mad at me, and I can't build models for a while. However, I will DEFINATELY join a 3rd GB! I'd love to see one! Sorry about that, but there's nothing I can do.

Thanks everyone, glad to see so many people interested in WWI aircraft!  I must admit, I do not plan to run a third KOTS GB at this time, as other projects would keep me from it for quite a while.  Perhaps someday down the road?
