Very nice work Aaron! Looking great!
I like to join with yet another build! My old Aurora Mummy! Although I actually built it way back then, it suffered some falling apart and later on some striping of the color. Then it's been hiding in a drawer for close to two years, waiting to rise again!
I hope that's Ok!
Cheers,
Azgaron
Aaron- The Hood turned out great, I bet you are really Happy you took care of this half ~build all those years. I don't know about you but after the Holidays pass I am looking to add more shelving in my Hobby Room as I have been running out of Display space...
Roy - Here is the Finished He-111 , and Revell P-40 B

Sorry to say but resin is not in my skill set yet.
I did however use my new spray booth taday. How did I ever live without one.

Azgaron, that is way cool. I'll add the kit to the roster.
Roy,
this is a cracking GB you are hosting-some real talent here! I've enjoyed reading through all of this-I must check the stash to see if I have anything that qualifies..................does my half full bottle of Drambuie count?
Thanks Bondoman and Roy!

Bring it over
Finished fixing the wing gap, and the fuselage is put together and sanded. Might need a bit more though. Cockpit is finished, and the pilot was touched up. The pilot tube was sanded to look like 1/35 scale. Now all I pretty much have left is the painting and drilling out the machine gun holes (which for some reason Tamiya ignored to mold.) Not to mention Tamiya also ignored the power windmill that goes on the tip in the front of the plane(I think I'll scratch that out of putty.)

Ooooh I like that, I built the "Testors" version last year. I did the Orange/Red paint scheme PKDL. Stretched sprue shaped might be easier and more durable then putty for the generator prop..
Nice work Mikael!
wyoroy: I was going to wait until she turned into an official shelf queen (1 year in June) but if you're saying I can start I will!
My build is a Tamiya 1/35 Flakzierling, here's where she stands:

See - thats what you get for Moving to NY, everything gets Beat up and Rusted Out
I like it, did you use "Rustall" on that ? So I take it this will be displayed on a Base

Truth be told how could I say no to someone whose avatar is from "Spies Like US"
What happened, did you leave it out in the rain It looks very good. Mind sharing with us how you got that effect?
I'll update the roster.

No Rustall...yet. Actually I'm only about 75% complete on the vehicle. I've got a way to go on the anti-aircraft gun too. I will be adding snow on the vehicle, some ice/slush build-up freshly scraped and pushed around the flatbed and a heavy build-up behind the wheels and tracks...it should be pretty cool...and a lot of fun!
YES...definately on a base and maybe a fig' or two too!
Got the clear gloss sprayed on the P-40. Want to do a wash on the panel lines.
I am tempted to do a winter paint job over the splinter camo on my 110, was wondering what you guys would think of that. I am thinking this just to make it look even more different than the ones that you see every day.
Matt
BTW - All the builds that are getting completed here are looking great. Happy holidays and keep modeling!!!
Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur!!! - Anything said in Latin sounds profound!
wyoroy: I used the same technique as I did for my SU-122 for the winter whitewash, have you seen this one? You can keyword search for it: Winter Camo Tutorial, I give a VERY detailed description, go check it out:
Here are some progress pics for the Flakvierling:
Matt, after seeing your KA-50 I say go for it. I agree, it would be different. Your right, there is some great looking stuff here.
BTW as of today we have 26 people signed up for this GB
Stephen, I just read your winter camo tutorial, WOW. That's a lot to take in.
Perhaps you could help with this. My P-40 is OD over neutral gray. I want to highlight the panel lines and was thinking of black. Would that be too much? Perhaps a dark gray?
Thanks for the comments, wyoroy, Azgaron, and Summit.
Summit: Thanks for the suggestion, it probably would be smarter to use stretched sprue instead of putty.
I hope you guys had a great Christmas, I did.
Sean, thank you so much for the card.
Dave, just to let you know the package from you has yet to arrive. Must be lost in a snow drift
