WIP pics make everyone better. Usually several sets of eyes are better than just two. In fact, in the next day or so I'll post pics to show just where I stand on each build.

Alright ~ alright,  sheese you guys...Laugh [(-D] Roy you can scratch the Heinkel HE-11 and P40 B off the list as they are pretty much done. And beings the Official start date is not here yet...

Dave - that HE -111 is the old MPC Profile Series kit.. Not the greatest kit - but not a bad representation  for the era it was manufactured

Besides if I was not working on these Shelf Sallies I would most likely crack open another kit.. Mischief [:-,]

Sean, since you did do them.  Perhaps you could post them here for the rest of us.  You know, kind of like it can be done, to steal a saying....."Just do it".  Your the first of us to get pass the  Procrastination, you could be our inspirationBig Smile [:D]

I've done some work on possible badges, most of these don't shrink down well.  Now, I'm leaning towards the last panel of the Calvin & Hobbes idea, with the words "No Excuses GB" stamped over it.  My photoshop is acting funny, but once I get it ironed out, I'll post what I've got.  Any suggestions you guys have are more than welcome, so throw 'em up here.

Cheers,
Alex

LOL...that works too...I offer up my computer services for the badge.  I like this one better than anything I've got so far.

Maybe have, "Procrastinators of the modeling world,UNITE! (tomorrow)" Or for the Calvin and Hobbes that also rocks, Could you color it in? Or would Bill Watterson file a lawsuit aginst us? Wink [;)] It would add some interest to the badge. Since I know nothing about photoshop (not to mention computers in general) You'll have to see how they work out.

Or you could do the cat and photoshop a kit on the side. I think that the badge needs a more modeling slant. Any good pics coming outta Photoshop Cardshark?

Sounds good to me...I'll have SWMBO take a look at my photoshop to figure out what is with it. Then, I should have some badge ideas posted later tonight.

Alex

Alright here are a few pics of the ones that I have been putting off finishing for a while now, some are worse off than others, and one only requires me to put a flat coat on it and remove the masking.

And in true procrastinator fashion there are a few that I have yet to take pictures of!!! But first things first I have to clean and reorganize my room in order to even begin to work on any of these.

OK I'm in, but this sets my teeth on edge. The requirement that there be no crossover builds eliminates all of the builds that are stagnating on the bench, since they are all previously committed to GB's.

I only build for GB's, which is a good thing for me, maybe not so much for the GB's I join but I aim to finish them all!

So I look at AN-12 for the Heavy Lifter GB- NO. Mavis for the IJN Rare bird GB- NO. Leaves the FROG Shackleton that was started for the (?) Modern African Wars GB before Steelrudi got carried away by the Selous Scouts.

It's a beast of a build good sirs. So far I've sanded the rivets down from 1" at scale to about 1/4", haha. Got a great set of RSAAF decals, although each color is a separation as an independent film, but it allowed them to do gold as a true color.

Anyone else every built a FROG kit? I have three built on the shelf, it's a chore boys but she'll be right as rain on Table Mountain.

Hey Bondo,

I'm pretty sure Roy just doesn't want active GB kits.  I've got the Emily and the Hs 123 in this one, and I know a few others also have old GB kits in.  So, unless I'm completely wrong, go for it!

Cheers,
Alex

Wow Roy! This GB has taken off!  I am in as well . As far as a kit goes the exclusin of group builds narrows the choices. You can still put me down for "too many to list"  I have discovered upteen Armor builds that are years old now and are just not quite finished. Mostly painting. I'm still digging to find one I'd like to see done!. Yep another excuse.

Sean, I think yours looks great.  I keep looking at that kit.  Thinking this will be a test bed for panel scribing and some other things I want to try.  Well doneThumbs Up [tup]

Bill, Aaron and Harvey, welcome to the No More Excuces GB.  Great to have you guys.  Remember the start date is 15 Dec, that is if you want to start on that dayWink [;)]

Matt, your stuff looks greatThumbs Up [tup]  I have the Revell/Monogram Huey in my stash.  How did it go thogether?

Bill, Alex was right.  If your build belongs to an active GB hold off on it.  If the GB is over or has died off, then by all means bring them in.  What scale is the AN-12?

Harvey, the 105 looks great, BTW what scale is it?

Dave, I love the badgeThumbs Up [tup]  My votes for it also.

According to the rules on page one, as long as the kit isn't from a Group Build that is still "active" then the kit qualifies.  Most of my builds for this GB are from GBs I ran out of time on due to over commitment and life getting in the way.

Accurate Miniatures 1/48 Helldiver - Battle of the Atlantic
Hasegawa P-38F - South Pacific GB
Pro-modeller Ju 88 - Bombergruppe GB
Tamiya 1/35 Semovente - Light tanks GB
Tamiya 1/48 Bf 109E7 - Battle of the Meditteranean
Dragon 1/35 Elefant - Elefant GB

oh, and one I forgot - Revell 1/48 Me 410 for a Luftwaffe GB, can't even remember what it was now.  LOL

Roy,

From what I remember, the Huey kit went together ok, I remember the windscreen being a bit thick and a chore to get in.  It is a bit of a tail sitter so you should add a bit of weight to the nose.  The Decals are very thick and took a bunch of setting agent to get them to conform to any surface.  It is a typical older revell/monogram kit.  If you take your time and and have some patience it will turn out nicely.

I built this one rather quickly back in the fall of 06, and it has been sitting on my shelf looking as it is in the picture.

Matt, yea I notice the decals are on the thick side.  I have an old Eduard PE set for it plus some Super Scale decals.  Some day I'll get around to it.

Do you fly or crew blackhawks?  One of my younger brothers is a W4 and have been flying for 18 years now.  He just finished fixed wing school in AL.

Just wondering.
