You guys are right, the second is better.  If Clemen's has a 190 you have to have mottling on it! maybe.

Does that apply to 5 190s as well? All the others have mottling on them as well....

Well I think that seems to apply only to you.Surprise I think.  but then again probably to me too as those seem to be the ones I have picked out for my other 190's  I guess I'm a gluten for punishment too.Dead

Well I am a sucker for unique and that although I like them both, that second one with the yellow spinner and yellow on the prop is different. I would probably build it.

Speaking of schemes I think I'm going with Gerhard Vogts D-9. White 13. I'll come up with a picture. Hopefully I can find decals.

Cant view that here at work. The web filter blocked it. Whats the decal sheet manufacturer and part number and I'll look at it that way. With any luck I can order that thing! Thanks, Joe

falconmod:I was leaning towards "Brown 4 " when I initially got the D-9 but it requires surgery at the back to convert it to the Ta-152 tail. Besides I'm going to open up that triangular panel on the rudder to display the internals of the tail wheel structure. Not possible with the Ta-152 tail resin conversion.

Brown 4 has a wicked paint scheme though. I think it has all the RLM colors plus NMF in some places.

Greg:That neat-o Eduard PE isn't always good. The PE instrument panel included in the Airacobra Dual Combo is really bad. It is way too large and prevents the fuselage halves to fit together at all. I nearly destroyed my Cobra because of it. The cockpit floor looks like a mess on one side, but I was lucky: I can cover all the damage with a folded map (I wanted to throw sume stuff in the "office" anyway...)

Ahah. Being new, and having a positive experience with my first PE cockpit job, I assumed that it is the end-all, catch-all solution. You know how it goes, Clemens.

One day I'll grow up and learn how to detail paint all those nifty molded cockpit details. I hope!

Don't sweat it. Just hang out and learn. It's all good. I learned more in one year on this forum than I have in 10+ years of building, reading and watching how-to videos!!!

OK, I was able to make some progress getting pictures uploaded to PB and lets see if I can get them here alright. We'll start as usual with the "pit" its pretty basic and again I am loving the Eduard kit so far, they include the PE on the Profipack kits and thats a big help! For some of you that dont know my style, I build well used aircraft. I LOVE the war weary look. More to follow, The gun bay and the engine are next. I've started on the engine, which this kit does not offer, so keep me in your prayers!
